Agree. We Dont Run Sat Night Who would you die for Teardrop Im your Man (not my fav by any means) are wasted on a throw away album. |
Since someone had mentioned Shanks emulating Bobby's guitar style on Teardrop... I'm not too sure that it isn't actually Bobby playing on that track. Jon and he didn't fall out until early summer of 2015 and by then the track had most likely been recorded.

But that's quite interesting, and pretty much confirms what some here have said, in that Shanks just does what Jon asks of him and can't be completely blamed for the sterile sound of the last few records. It sounds as if Jon doesn't let him run with it that often....and if he did we might get more gems like Teardrops... It's almost as if Jon didn't give a shit about BB, as it was just so he could get out of the record contract and let Shanks loose a bit. And as a result we got of of the best BJ songs in the last 10 years at least... |

I’m actually a fan of everything that shanks produced and funny enough I like the new Bon Jovi stuff over the old stuff. |

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say there is absolutely no way we're getting a new album next year - the European shows have been billed as THINFS so they would be shooting themselves in the foot to release an album as well but not "tour" it.
So I reckon Autumn 2020 with a tour 2020/21. Note to FutureNige: If you are reading this in 2020 listening to the new album - well done. |

THINFS wasn't as bad as people make it look. Definitely not their finest work but after all these years I simply know that we ain't gonna get a These Days album again so... |

They will probably re-release THINFS in one form or another and put another new song or 2. Bands of Bon Jovi's age are accustomed to touring 3-4 years on a single album by it Jon still feels the need to put something new out....

No word of judgement I think it's fantastic people are saying this. Screw anyone that holds it above you, if that's how you feel have a blast with the music. I felt the same when I LOVED Crush and Bounce as a new fan and got flack on this very board.

Got this from Ticketmaster re the Wembley show:
Just a few details about dispatching your tickets... The event organisers are still working with us on a few final details before we can print your tickets, but this might not be until nearer the time. As soon as this is completed, we’ll print them and send them out to you. The latest you should receive them is around 5 days before the event. Reading between the lines...might this be new album/tour branding related? |

I am sure the next album will sound a bit different, like every single Bon Jovi album. Feels like Bon Jovi is the only band which changes it's sound a slight bit (If not very slight) like every single album.

And I could also add LH and HAND. With John Shanks,we know how the new album will sound, exactly like the last 13 years. Boring. |

Jon should sport the DA / LH dark haired look instead of trying to be a 77 year old Bob Kraft. And Richie just needs to start looking like a man again instead of trying to be a teenage pretty boy. I know it's supposed to be about the music but that ain't happening so at least look cool... Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk |
Shanks not only remained in the studio but got his ass on the stage as well. We can only expect MORE of him :-|

But the Sanctuary II Studio (JBJ' s studio) is dead?
|

JBJ decided to dismantle his home studio rather than chase new technology for the THINFS album, JBJ: “The gear was getting antiquated at my studio, so it was either invest a lot or let it go. I decided to let it go.”

for a guy with the money of jon and an already existing place this sounds weird. i know a lot music studios with expensive hardware, plenty of racks and every kind og gear and mics. maybe the main console needed some work and repair but most of the gear in recording doesnt just grow old, the vintage equipment is often preffered. i think in true jon wanted to get out from his very comfort zone and out of his house as well. jon isnt and never was a studio guy who d record every idea and spend hours upon hours experimenting. i jusy wanted to comment that when you are a musician and own all these stuff the only thing that can age and need regular attention is the console.

Sanctuary II Studio
(1999-2015) R.I.P |
I was talking to a fellow fan the other day and she told me that perhaps being in that studio evoked too many sad memories and he couldn't stand being there anymore... to me it's not about money.
