Clips of the crowd singing and Jon talking (including Runaway intro). "In 3 minutes and 30 seconds, you're going to see a rock n' roll star!" (Points at David). I still get goosebumps at that moment.

It sounds like they lowered they key?

They played it cause they were in Bob Seger's hometown............ Wouldn't expect this on a nightly or semi..

How old are you?!! Some of us enjoy the "old people" songs.

Great Runaway is back! And not as the encore opener!

Concerning the addition of songs during the tour: could it be that as Jon slowly improves and becomes more confident, he's adding/trying more and more songs as the tour goes on? Would make sense to me and could be a reason why we haven't heard certain songs yet/until now (like with Runaway)...

Too bad no further legs have been announced yet...

I know. I'd love more legs but hopefully he will not push himself and can tour this album at a manageable pace including next year. Man, I hate to think this is the end. Knowing Jon, though, I'm sure it's not!

Next time you go to a wedding, request this song, and check out the demographic of people clapping on the dance floor... Look for your uncle and aunt out there making those moves!!!

Ha ha...well, it was released in 1978 when I was 13 so now that I'm almost 53 I guess it does qualify as an "old people" song!!

Ummmmm.... You're right at that cut off... it depends if you're a young 53 or an old 53... Here is the test, do you get all excited and run to the dance floor when you hear the intro???

I feel like I'm intruding on this board as I am new here for posting. I've read the board for years and now can finally post using Tapatalk. I was unable to post using the web based version of this board as it was a pain in the butt.

I'm just so happy the band is back touring that any song I hear at a concert makes me happy! No set list complaints from me!

Maybe it is fans like me that make Jonny lazy with changing set lists, but bless him for still touring when he knows his voice is a problem for him. We are unbelievably lucky that the band is still going strong. They are healthy and still alive. Yes - still alive. I'm Jon's age and although it's not "old" you do feel grateful to still be here as many do not make it to 55!

As I said in another post, maybe after I've been blessed to go to a ton of shows I will be critical of set lists, but after only 5 shows I have not reached that point!

Ha ha...not especially, it's not really my jam!! Glad Turn The Page isn't a wedding song!

If say if you able to run to the dance floor then you are considered young!!!

For the record, I am 28 years old and whenever Old Time Rock N Roll gets played at a party/wedding/concert, you can be sure I'll be up on my feet dancing. Who doesn't love that song!

Panda 03-31-2017 02:29 AM

I'm 24 and have probably been to (not exaggerating) 20 weddings in the last 3 years; I don't think I've heard the song been placed once at any of them.

I was just thinking the same! Been to a lot of weddings and don't think I've heard that song either.

For sure. It was higher when sung with kid rock.

Same and same lol.

Although, like Panda and bjcrazycpa I don't think it's ever been played at any weddings I've attended.

I know we've all seen these videos and heard these recordings before. But man, that's painful. Maybe it's a miracle Jon can still sing at all in 2017.

And the cruel thing is that this was just half as bad as it got in July of 1987...
