He revealed nothing other than when Richie comes back, he's gone. Everyone in the camp has been saying Richie is coming back just no one knows when.

I was gonna say I'm thankful to whoever actually made this a sticky thread, so that people won't notice as much, but yeah... that picture pretty much got me busted, didn't it? :p

I took it as he's just giving the pat answer everyone else gives, implying he'll be back. No one, not even Jon, is going to imply Richie might not return. By the way, I had a thought pop in my head, if Richie does come back. Is he setting some kind of precedent for future tours where Tico or David or even Bobby could just skip the entire tour if they wish? "Hey Jon, you let Richie blow off a tour and come back so I'm skipping this one ok?" ;)

That's Vintage Trouble he's with. They supported Bon Jovi on the UK leg of The Greatest Hits Tour. Pretty good band although the Jovi crowd were typically cold.

Though considering there's over 8000 posts, 500 and odd still not much.

Nah, they were a terrible choice for a support band. Didn't like them one bit. No one gave a shit about them

Bounce7800 07-15-2013 12:02 AM

I guess at least Richie's drinking water.

The last support acts to go down well with the Bon Jovi fans were Nickleback and Kid Rock.

Need I say more?

Javier 07-15-2013 04:17 AM

Just want to maybe share this to put some light into this thread.

Hope this man is not totally lost to the band or himself and can work out anything that's not so right in his life...

steel_horse75 07-15-2013 09:20 AM

So Richie was at Hyde Park.

Maybe he needed to see the crowd and more importantly someone else playing YOUR songs. It would be like coming home and someone shagging your wife.

But being in Hyde Park also could confirm that Richie thought he was gonna be back in the band by then. In all his interrviews until that one that popped up a week before Hyde Park he kept saying he would be back by July 5th.

No :-/

Kinda scary when you think about it, really!

But he was at Hyde Park 8 days after Bon Jovi played.

Jonty 07-15-2013 11:55 AM

I hope Bobby skips permanently.

Now that's reaching....

FWIW....I thought Vintage Trouble were fantastic as a support band, and for me and my group of friends, were almost the highlight of the show. Very talented, charismatic band. But I digress...

Slagging off Richie for "all these photos ops and PRs" isn't fair - they are clearly not photo opportunities and actually just friends/fans who are grabbing a quick snap with a camera phone. Come on. Let's play fair....

And how on earth is it disrespectful, "sticking a finger up to the fans" to go and see a concert? It just happened to be in the same location as where Bon Jovi played, a WEEK before. It's summer festival season!

Yeah just throwing it out there.

I still think he thought he would be back in the band.

:)

Can we start considering kidnapping the band and interrogating them yet?!?

Mysterytrain 07-15-2013 02:39 PM

Wasn't it the Rumor Fix video where the interviewer asked whether the Hyde Park thing was true and Richie said something like, "No, no, we're just not happening right now, sadly' and then added, "It's too soon."?

I agree with you I don't see what the deal is about Richie and his unbottoned shirt.

Lucky interviewer though - he knows what the problem is!!

and he probably doesn't really care either.

So Jon can blab it to a journalist but can't tell the fans? That's unfair.

No one knows that Jon really told the journalist. They're assuming.

There's no way Jon told the journo.

The ellipsis (...) merely illustrate either something was cut out or the journo was using it to show the sentence tailed off.

And IF something was cut out, it wouldn't be worth reporting. It's NOT the reason behind it all. Wishful thinking I'm afraid.
Having worked as a journalist for many years, it's a simple device to cut out the waffle. Sorry.

Agreed. Saw them opening in Mannheim and enjoyed them much more than the Breakers who had been the support act on the previous 3 German shows.

I was about to post that. I enjoyed them too. Very old school rock and roll which I enjoy.

Or maybe I was so pleased to be in Europe at that concert that I would have loved anything that was played LOL

I can speak for some of my friends on here that we did not enjoy Kid Rock at all.

Sissy3 07-15-2013 06:57 PM

I remember being a little surprised at Kid Rock since I thought he was pretty popular in his own right and did his own concerts. But I guess his venues weren't as humongous as the places BJ plays. :D

It's kinda funny that everybody keeps saying all is good and they're good. It almost sounds like the only ones going nuts over this are us.
I'm sure there's actually a lot going on that remains unsaid and a lot of restless nights too, but it's still amusing to see how things are portrayed or come across.

Yes, I'm sure the whole thing's much easier to digest if you were in the loop and had the "facts".

Speaking of facts...I'd love to know what the phonecall count is of late.
Was it 1 call in the first couple of months, between JB and RS? And now...?
