About LH era Jon being more talkative... I think the absolute asshole mode interview where he barely spoke at all took place during The Circle era? So it's not like that time frame is full of boyish anecdote sharing episodes lol

Ohhh then yeah that toally makes sense the label had involvement if that's the case. But then it's wild Jon would ask the interviewerer and they openly mentioned the hestitation with the idea of it but saying essentially "it's a fine album, good job"

I'm just bored enough today to look into this more haha.

I am doubtful about this interview too. I was a very regular user of Ultimate-Guitar back then and still browse occasionally these days. It wasn't a very big site back then and even now they do not get big names like Jon regularly. I am not sure about now, but in the old days anybody could user-submit content.

Not to be hyper obsessive about finding stuff out but when I googled the first line, that site was the only link that had it. What's wild is....a few of the points he made he absolutely gave in the EPK and other interviews from that era so it's not like it was pulled out of nowhere. The interview clearly took place BEFORE the album came out so it's a pretty puzzling set of answers.

9 years ago (December 22, 2014). I wonder if we will ever learn what happened in 2015 that caused his voice to deteriorate so much. By the time they went on that Asian tour in 2015, something was very noticeably wrong.

Yeah but Thinny had been quoting your comment from underneath the 2009 performance of "A change is gonna come" so I figured he was referring to that.

Apologies, I completely quoted the wrong post, not sure how I managed that! I was indeed referring to the I Wish Everyday Could Be Like Christmas post...

Ah sure, however many years ago, that performance of IWECBLC in late 2014 probably is the last good vocal performance from JBJ.

Does anyone have this Japanese boxset containing the four first albums as well as an interview? I’m curious about the interview as it says it contains interviews with all five members discussing their favorite songs (I’m assuming they are talking about Bon Jovi songs). It does sound interesting. Anyone who have heard it?
