It's kinda hinting that he will be there but since it's Paraguay and they obviously have no insider info, I wouldn't count on it.

Sean Borg is the PR for brand NikkiRich; our guts got that a while ago, while we have officially learned it not too long ago via the latest article about the fashion line. And, as I've probably subtly let on, I don't like the matter one bit, for he's most likely the same guy behind most of the gossip articles about Sambogate. It's almost like not being with Bon Jovi for undisclosed reasons serves as a promoting tool for the fashion line. Not to mention an article on his own site dated March 13th (a couple weeks before the infamous Calgary show) starting off with the utterly disturbing line: "It seems Bon Jovi rock legend Richie Sambora has swapped his guitar for the runway, launching his own women's fashion line." And here I thought he/they did five years ago, by the way.
But that's not the point of this post.

A new article has just come out, informing us of the latest achievement for the line.

It's amusing how both the latest article and this new one start off right away by deliberately and squarely informing us about "Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora" and Nikki Lund's whereabouts. The whole picture of the where and when is given. And I don't think it's casual.

Anyway, that's right, thanks to this new article we now know that August will not only see the pair busy off in Japan, but also in the mid-west of the States.

All of the 27 Von Maur stores (scattered across the states of Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Ohio, according to VonMaur.com) will start selling their fall 2013 collection, so Richie and Nikki will attend press calls at some of these stores in to-be-confirmed dates in August.

I've tried to read up on this tread, so if I repeat things already said - forgive me - its long... But you raise a point I have had a problem with early on. The fb promoing Nikki did saying pics out tomorrow, how great Richie is blah blah blah. Then pics out, Sean Borg lunch and aritlce - with reporters laying in wait outside the rest. (wonder who called them). Anytime something about the band hits the news - NR press - The genlux party, those "posed" Richie photos and of course press there. One video where they are talking to RS and she is dying to get in the frame, interviewer motioned her back. Just another typical Sambo fame whore. If he wants to do fashion, so what. But timing here is poor, think she milks his ego for her dreams and hate that he seems to follow. He has too much LA in his blood now and not enough of his roots. History speaks volumns. Also, only time I've had any concern that RS was maybe back on chems was the late genlux interview where he licked his lips every other word. Wrong crowd! Understand addictive personalities, watched my Mom go through rehab 5X. :( Does not need enablers. If he wants out of the band, just say so - but contracts were certainly written when the tour started? I think his perception of how severe it is to him is quite diff. from Jon. Thus one is not happening and the other when he's ready views. We probably will never know the truth but as much as I adore Richie, the PR on his side around all this drama sucks. OF course SBorg blocked me when I said do fashion and stay out of BJ business. lol I think really upset AMOL did not get full attention he wanted to give it before tour that was orginally stated for 14 came up in 13 - I'll bet if Jon had put one or two AMOL solos on the tour set list - Richie would still be there. Right or wrong, just thinking out loud. We've had enough time it's not serious illness, Ava or his Mom. Outside influences are def. at play.

That pretty much sums up how I feel about the whole thing.

WillRunForChocolate 07-20-2013 09:22 PM

Oh gosh - now is one of those rare times I'm glad I live in the Midwest! I can shop at Von Mauer, buy a cheesy NikkiRich outfit, and rock it when I'm at the Bon Jovi concert in Las Vegas - most likely without Richie. Uh huh. (Pulling hair out.)

Kind of a pointless article. There's nothing new and it falls back on tabloid speculation, but, what the hell, here you go:

one of the charities Richie supports. The fundraiser raised about $5500
for Midnight Mission. So probably tweet is thanking his fans for the funds raised

If I got that right, it seems like #samborasaturday is an hashtag that's going around on Twitter and maybe elsewhere. It doesn't seem that widespread, huge phenomenon to me and I'm not sure I get precisely how it's used, but then again, my knowledge and use of Twitter is rather limited, so I might have not picked on what seems to be a big enough deal.

Becky 07-21-2013 02:58 AM

I did a search for SamboraSaturday on Twitter and it's looks like a minor effort. 99% of the posts that came up were from one person, somebody named Diane.

How do you possibly get that from that tweet? What do those words have to do with the fundraiser or charity?

Richie hasn't thanked his fans yet for that big contribution they made to his charity for his birthday at all if I'm not mistaken. He must be way too busy, or maybe its personal reasons.

Nope. As stated before, it's a Twitter thing. A Facebook friend posted this explanation: for all who don't know what the sambora saturday thing is - fans are posting photos and videos of Richie with the hashtag ‪#‎samborasaturday‬

jessycardy 07-21-2013 08:02 PM

Richie has just posted a new tweet:

"I wanna thank everybody for supporting the Midnight Mission..... Their such good people doing such good work... Gospel Sunday in my house.."

Could be, but I also noticed a lot of fans were Tweeting him about it, as in, "By the way, did you see that fans donated money to The Midnight Mission in honor of your birthday?"

For what it's worth, a friend of mine who somehow seems to be "in the know" claimed he found out about it shortly after he returned to the U.S. and was very touched.

I was bored this morning and was reading through this thread again. There's a lot of similarities between that situation and the current one, mainly the asinine Twitter usage and the lack of clear explanations for anything.

Damn you, I ended up reading that entire thread instead of working. :D And out of that, this is the post that jumped out at me:

are we witnessing a man on the slippery slope, I sincerely hope not but it does seem the writing is on the wall......I think if he has fallen off the wagon again!, his Boss (CEO JBJ) will not be impressed....I wonder if he still has Phil X's number in his phone..........

steel_horse75 07-22-2013 08:03 PM

Right.

Ive been watching the When We Were Beautiful Documentry and I think Richie needs to watch this.
He needs to see what he was saying not 5 years ago about brotherhood, all the band helping him, the fans etc.
He needs to get back in the band. I thank Phil X for filling in but the time has come for Richie to man up and get back to what he does best.

Sort it out.

That said, after watching the WWWB thing I got me thinking that it must be a pretty big thing for Richie to walk off the tour.
He said how he needs the band and the fans to help him in times of need and how the band were really there for him when he blipped last time.

I hope they can sort it out.

I did the same, and saw the same. That's a shame. I never thought it until the Genlux lick lipping night. (Yes, thankfully there can be other reasons) Earlier interviews that same night, he was fine - by that one - after they had been upstairs and dressed, (Nikki pics) so dry? Richie has admitted his problems, thus he is an addict/Addictive personality. His media whores are enablers. These are the people, for their own purpose be it fame, $, or just a party pal will stroke the ego (rock star) and tell you that you can handle this one time, one line, one whatever and bam. They could care less about the person. BAD crowd, model thin? not just trainers. Coke numbs - thus lots of fluids, gum, licking and bad teeth.( Also told Voice box can be hard on teeth.) His bottom teeth have never been perfect btw. My dad beat it, my mom rehab 5x as a raging binge drinker - eventually in a home with alcohol induced dementia. I saw the scan, at that point it is now a disease but to go back to old posts on here and the debate - I loath the day some psych degree told her it was a disease and gave her a crutch. Why this info - I consider myself experienced. I could spot off the wagon again on a dime. Know many with similar "lives" to mine, signs relative across the board. I really hope this is all wrong as I adore Richie and would gladly, personally go southern redneck on anyone who pulls him back in. Recovery is a very precarious time and can take months and for some years to regain confidence that you are stronger than the ???.

SuperBrad 07-23-2013 10:44 AM

That's what I'm talking about. No matter how hard you try and see this as merely supporting the guy, it's just plain, ****in' wrong and twisted, period. I support him, I have nothing against him, I think he's nice and he can play a tune decently, and of course he's got my applause when I saw my show last month. But there's no ****in' way I'm writing "X" anywhere on me. Seriously. I'm a Bon Jovi fan, not a Drills fan. And yes, I agree with you: I think most of these people simply do it for the attention. Phil is the small fish that happens to be in the big fish pond and they can't help doing this shit. It's kinda like those nutjobs asking Matt every - single - day about his schedule and how is he doing and stuff like that. And yet, I still think those have more decency than the X fangirls.

Sissy3 07-23-2013 05:56 PM

C'mon Jessycardy ya know you want to put an X on your body and throw that man down. ;) Teasing you, of course. Maybe that's just their way of showing support when so many other Richie fans act at times like Phil is the reason Richie isn't there. I like Phil with his "I'm so glad to be here" attitude, but at the end of the day he's just doing a job he's paid to do. I'm not gonna start a fan club for him! Of course, Richie was paid for his job too but he chose to do other things. Wonder if that fashion line pays as well as a Bon Jovi gig? :D

Jon hurt to Richie, I'm sure, and Richie stayed away. The clothing has nothing to do. Now, Jon does not do any effort to bring back to Richie.

It's a tour-themed wallpaper. I can see why Richie's not there. He's still in the merchandise and stuff, so as always, people are making a big deal out of nothing.
