@MatthewBongiovi: The internal vibe has never been better. All is FINE. just simple personal things Richie has to take care of. Really simple actually.

Really, the band need to rid themselves of this prick. If anything that just makes Richie look bad, missing a whole leg of a tour for something "really simple". I believe TMZ over him.

Reckon if it was a family issue it would have leaked by now.

It almost seems as though he enjoys having inside knowledge and teasing us fans with patronising tweets

He's just trying to sound like someone important. He comes off like a jackass.

CKatz 04-07-2013 02:46 PM

I think it's funny that Matt is in charge of a fanclub, but doesn't know how to handle fans.

A friend who was on a fc trip said he is a jackass.

Yep - I agree with you and the whole FINE in capitals sounds exactly like what someone would say when things are wrong and you ask them if they are ok and they answer with FINE, but in a tone were you know it isn't fine.

Yeah, one of the key members leaves in the middle of a tour, but it's all fine.

Matt's PR doesn't work

I agree. Matt has a lot of attitude most of the time almost sounding disrespectful. Even Jon's recent interview where he states that he has not spoken to Richie..... sounds like B.S. Why wouldn't they speak? Why would Richie wait until 3:30 the day of the show to notify Jon?
I think that the TMZ article must have some truth to it, but may not be totally correct. Whatever the truth is, the band needs better PR than Matt's tweets.

and it wasn't Richie who notified Jon. So they have not spoken for a while now.

Who said it wasn't Richie? Tought at first they said Richie called at 3:30 and said he wasn't coming.. I only read into that quote that they haven't spoken SINCE that call, which is entirely possible since we don't even know when that interview took place exactly...

Copied from the April 2nd Concert thread... I have bolded the part in question

Richie is not in the hospital and he's not in jail or anything but he won't be performing anytime soon so uh we just wanted you to know we are thinking about him and we love him very much and we're sorry he's not going to be here for you and if ever I need help it's tonight OK.

Did anyone catch Jon's quote - "this is more of a 'we' band than a 'me' band"?

If everything is so FINE why does Jon do everything separate from the rest of the band? Interviews are separate, they travel separate, they have separate dressing rooms etc, etc.
I really does seem more and more like Jon and his backing band. All this 'brothers' bull shit is exactly that. I would like to have asked Matt that question but couldn't fit it into a tweet!

Great questions, but it would never get answered.
They really do treat us fans like we are idiots. Anyone know what the vibe is like on Backstage? Are they getting fed up?

Richie had a quote about the band being a caste system - I think that says a lot. They all have their places in it and it is not going to change. In the WWWB documentary David said it is annoying but the choice is to deal with it or leave and the good is good enough that it makes it worth while. Tico has said about the same thing.

I think they pretty much let Jon carry the weight of the world on his shoulders because he won't give them a voice - they all have their outside things they do (personally I cannot wait for Chasing the Song to make it to Broadway) and if they get together, play some music and make a crap ton of money why not? So let Jon be a PITA and they can just have fun and make music.

Jon likes it both ways, they are family and yet he is the boss. It has worked almost 30 years and they all signed up for it so they must not hate it enough to leave. I think in hindsight the worst thing Jon allowed was WWWB documentary because up until then we just THOUGHT he was an uptight jerk - now we have it confirmed.

But what Richie did for WHATEVER reason, bailing at 3:30 on a show was bad. Not many employers would be happy. I know I would be fired.

Yes. And then he said: "I still have No. 1 albums and the biggest tour on the road." Not "we".

The thing that stinks for me the most is that, if he had to stay in LA due to personal reasons, why would he skip the show in Staples Center? If they don't officially announce the reason for Richie's absence, then he at least should make an appearance on the show (during Wanted, for example) and make a short speech (similar like when Steven Tyler appeared on Joe Perry's solo show to deny rumours about him leaving Aerosmith). If he doesn't appear in the LA show in any capacity, then I'll probably start believing the conspiracies I had first found ridicolous just a few days ago.

Never even thought of that, good point. Not showing up to the LA show is akin to saying "The personal matter is band related".

Same typical shit as usual. Don't dare talk about it or you are not respecting the whole privacy thing. Don't ask for a refund or you are not a true fan (one who said it has actually SAID that Jon can sing a phonebook and she would be ok because Jon is so dreamy). Don't blame Jon, Don't blame Richie and don't ask any questions. That basically covers the vibe over there.

Very creepy. Why do people still post there, if free speech isn't encouraged???

Javier 04-07-2013 05:44 PM

It's kind of weird how bent I am on this. On one hand I want Richie back as soon as posible, but on the other hand, I'd like for Phil X to get to play a stadium. I think the dude deserves it....

Richie Sambora Leaves Bon Jovi Because He's Sick And Tired Of Jon's Flatulence During Shows

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/...83_634x771.jpg

Wild is indeed the wind as Sugar Daddy star Richie Sambora has sensationally left Bon Jovi after front man Jon Bon Jovi reeked havoc on his senses during the bands current tour, leaving the guitarist with no other option than to leave the band.

An insider has revealed that Jon's singing wasn't the only bum notes he was delivering on the recent tour. "Jon has always been known to release the odd stinker in his time but on the latest tour he has been emitting more toxic gas than a nuclear reactor" Keen eyed fans will have noticed that bass player and badger enthusiast Hugh McDonald has moved further back on the stage on recent tours, many believe this has been a deliberate ploy to escape Jon's stench. Even Tico "tin tin" Torres has got in on the act by putting up a glass shield around his drum kit to ward off any wayward whiff. Richie had no way of getting away from the smell though and has grown increasingly tired of the band leaders callous pong.

A source close to the band claims that Richie broke down several times due to Jon's irksome condition. "Richie tried to deal with it, on a few shows he stuck mints up his nose but it didn't help, he realised after the bands recent break that he loved fresh air too much and decided to call it a day" The band are currently continuing their mammoth tour without Sambora, fans are said to be ambivalent about the current situation.

"Having Jon as my partner for 26 years, I’ve been inspired and challenged to become a better musician, a songwriter, an artist, and a human being. I’ve been blessed with Jon for these last 26 years and I’ve learned the meaning of trust, lo.yalty, and brotherhood. And my life is richer for it. Jon, you are beyond my brother." — Richie Sambora

Becky 04-07-2013 06:30 PM

I wonder if Richie's mother has become ill. He's an only child so he's the only one who can make decisions if she's incapable of it. I can certainly see his not wanting to make something like that public knowledge and it really *isn't* the fans' business.

It would be better for Jon and the band if Richie made whatever this "personal matter" is known to the world. But you have to respect that if it's a family issue, he would want to keep it quiet.

That's way too rational Becky! :)

Now this was very funny! Well done :)

Especially the Hugh part (explaining why he is so far removed) and Tico's glass shield.
Love it.

If true then something would have to have happened to her suddenly as she was there in the audience in some TV show a couple of weeks ago (dunno what the name was), and she was introduced by Jon and looked pretty healthy to me..

Things can happen suddenly. I had a cousin who went to the doctor for a rash and was diagnosed with cancer. He looked healthy too.

And honestly I don't even know why Matt bothers with the tweeting, really! Even he himself must realise he's giving us feck all.

An incredible bizzare situation (meaning the missing Richie situation though it can also be applied to this thread). Just as Richie was becoming cool again.

Where have you gone Richie Sambora?
Our arenas turn their lonely eyes to you
What's that you say Jon Bon Jovi?
King Of Swing has left and gone away
Hey, hey, hey

fairtex444 04-07-2013 07:23 PM

I only have one question:
Is there any info if Richie is coming to Europe or not?
