He's acting like that because he recognizes those people. They're autograph hunters, they get the autograph and then put it on eBay to sell. I've seen other artists act the same way, it's no big deal.

Yeah, and they're SO unoriginal, always shoving pickguards into the artist's face... Richie seems to have only recognized one guy and he probably knows better than me, but I'd say most if not all of those people were there for the same reason... Sometimes they reach such a low level, like when they bring little kids in order to appeal to their emotional side. It's a shame, really...

What about this?

A spanish blog (not crushmagazine) is saying Matt twitted that Snake Sabo will be playing with BJ, but he erased the twit just a few minutes after publishing it.

It wasn't Matt, it was a fake account. It's not going to be Snake.

Snake Sabo is better than Phil X, but I'm still waiting for Richie, he is more than a good guitarist, Richie full Jon voice, and does wonderful things together as Diamond Ring, Wanted or Ill Be There for You.

Snake is a good temporary replacement, is the "runaway" boy, and is the 30th anniversary of this song.

Agree, Not Matts account and I don't think he would make that kind of announcement on his twitt anyway. Richies reply(translater was close) was a Richie tweet in reply to someone posting a video of him and snake playing together. More, lets make up a story if we don't got one, media.

He's not. He played the song live with Bon Jovi in the very beginning, but it's not him you hear on the album.

They're so embarassing. Trying to spread bullshit around by posting a fake tweet in incredibly broken English. LOL Can we say EPIC FAIL?

The track released in 1983 was recorded in 1982 by Jon Bon Jovi and a group of studio musicians known as "The All Star Review", which included Hugh McDonald (bass), Tim Pierce (guitar) and Roy Bittan (keyboards). The keyboard intro was written by Mick Seeley, then of John Bongiovi and the Wild Ones and later with Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes.

Talking about Runaway.

Great song.

jessycardy 08-02-2013 02:58 PM

I'm not sure where the hell this is coming from now, but this should be a leaked clip of the new video to "Always Walk Beside You".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=u2wHHlCZxXg

Richie posted a screenshot from it back on January 31st, period in which he was promoting "What About Now" with the band.
His tweet at the time didn't mention the title of the song and went like this:

"Hey everybody, still doin stuff to promote Aftermath of the Lowdown. Here's a shot from an upcoming vid.... pic.twitter.com/yKzIFgFX"

Anyway I agree with Rolo here, Im still waiting for Richie and I keep thinking that there's a chance that he will come back in September. They have weeks to sort things out so...

Sorry for spreading that rumour, I just read the words "Snake with BJ" and I ran here to ask ^^

It was originally posted by Nikki's brother on Vimeo. I checked Vimeo regularly and never saw the video before. Since the upload time was 6 months ago, I guess he just changed the setting of the video from private to public.

And there's this. Obviously they planned to release the Ferguson Show behind scenes on DVD...

Yes they do, but during those weeks Richie is going to Japan with Nikki and doing the mid west clothing stores to promo the fashion line? HER site sounds like he is going with. That is Aug. Nothing yet from anyone, incl. BJ about Sept.

listening to that clip of Always Walk Beside You and it hit me that it is really similar to Bon Jovi and What About Now.

Yeah, I get it, he is Bon Jovi's guitarist so it makes sense but I like Aftermath a fair bit and hate WAN, so I think I had convinced myself that Richie's album was a departure from WAN, more artistic or whatever. I just gave it another listen and while I like the songs they are just as bland as the ones on WAN, at least in their own way. Richie was talking up jamming and this being a free spiritual record but it is equally as corporate and uninspired as WAN.

It doesn't really bother me cause as I said I like it more than WAN, but it puts it into perspective for me when people say Richie is all from the soul and not afraid to take risks. Aftermath is safe, no risk, a little soul, and no jamming, I think some people confuse disjointed and going off on stylistic tangents as risky. I had convinced myself that, not anymore.

Thanks for that! At least now we know where it comes from. Makes sense. And what you say about the setting getting changed from private to public after six months (it's dated January 21st), coupled with the (unconfirmed) plan to release new material in the next two months tells me we'll probably see the entire video soon enough, probably preceded by an official release of "Come Back As Me", to make things all the more spicy and interesting.

"Come back as me" is risky and daring, "Burn the candle down" is scorching, "Broken Wing" is a powerful rocker, "seven years gone", "Ill always beside you" & "You can only get so high "is better than any song of WAN. Even "Every Road" is better single than "Because We Can".

Aftermath does much more for me than WAN. The songs are more honest and talks about real things that him have happened in a dark moment of his life. However with WAN me want to vomit rainbows, It's an pop album without passion, cheesy and boring.

jessycardy 08-02-2013 03:49 PM

Vomiting rainbows is the single most beautiful thing that could ever happen to a human being, so I honestly don't see your point, Rolo.

Anyone beside me sick of seeing the name Lund or Borg attached to everything Richie these days. I really didn't care if he has a fashion line but this is making me sick. Too gifted a musician to be pulled down, IMHO, like this. What happened to Paradigm music being his promoters? Even using an independent for AMOL (not the smartest in my book but his decision) was not like this.

Yeah, there is sort of a 'tabloid sheen' coating everything nowadays, it makes me a bit queasy.

I'm glad to see him trying new things; I just wish he had better representation, like an actual, professional public relations/marketing team.

When Nikki started HER campaign on fb back in May, My gut rolled and it has not stopped. Like Gibbs on NCIS, my gut is normally right. D#$% shame too. Who ever used the word tabloid like is right on the money. But, if they block all the negatives, unless RS reads JT, he's keapt in the dark. Know he doesn't have time for all that and trusting the wrong people has killed a lot of careers. Wish for his sake I was wrong or that he does realize soon that it's not a popular mix.
