Yes Joviers, Jon Bon Jovi is in Greece on Mykonos island with his family for vacations since Sunday and he will be there for one more week. Wanna meet him? Kinda difficult 'cause he's not going out of the villa which has a private beach also and there is a lot of security...

Yeah right....

I wonder if Jon likes hoodies. Whether he does or not would be a very revealing piece of info about the Richie situation, or "Richuation".

Now I present bunnies..

Absolutely. Just thought the situation didn't need the extra complications, that's all...

As for Jon and family being in Greece, I read it on a couple of Greek outlets as well. A friend of mine also told me David Bergman is with them, but I don't know where she got that info.

In honor of Richie Sambora allegedly being fired from Bon Jovi's current tour, a tour he already unofficially quit and hasn't been present for since April, I think I'll go get drunk and listen to Bon Jovi. Wait, I do that all the time. Never mind then, carry on :D

And yet, that's "the story everyone is talking about"...

Rumor Fix ‏@RumorFix 2h
The story everyone is talking about -- and you saw it here first! http://bit.ly/1f2YXE3

I'm glad Phil X cleared that up, who could ever believe he would earn that little? LOL They're so full of it...

EDIT: Someone replied to that tweet by RumorFix asking: "and how do we even know to belive it or if it's true" and they replied back with: "They will have to make it public very soon."

Well, of course they will. Maybe not the part about Phil's salary or the rest of the made-up bullshit, just Richie not being on tour. Which is big news by the way, it's only been going on since April. But then everyone will go: "Look! They were right, they know what they're talking about!" and assume everything else is true as well. Ahhh, yes. Let's all brace ourselves.

Based on what I've witnessed on YouTube, it seems to me that Jon puts in more effort without Richie hence the fake smiles and moves that people complain about. I've only seen the band live once and that was without Richie, I didn't miss him 'cause I don't know any better, I didn't feel like anything was lacking but then again I don't know what the energy is like at Richie shows.

Whatever the reason may be for richie's departure, they are mature enough to solve this issue. Sure the ticketsales are down,it's very normal,we've known the band for almost 30 years, and now one of the most important member has been kickt aside. The fans are very disappoited. he probably said it in a funny/tongue in cheek way BUT it also sounded a bit offensive for the band imo...1)is he making that kind of money any way???....NO. 2) is it so horrible palying for bj that these kind of money wouldnt worth it??? if rolling stones searched a back up guitarist wouldnt he accept with less money???
ok...not the most serious argument just felt a bit wrong

OK where is Deb when you need her??? She's the numbers geek around here but since she is laid up with a torn hamstring, I will try to make some mathematical sense of Phils statement.
10,000.00 a month is only 2500.00 a week. For a proffessional working session musician who probably makes that a day and who is on tour with one of the best touring bands earning wise in the world this salary is an insult to him and to the band. No pro is going on the road for weeks away from home, leaving a pregnant wife to make less than what he makes staying home and working sessions.
150,000.00 a month seems more realistic to me. And look at it this way, Richie got paid 2million a month to be in rehab, and now 2million a month to stay in Cali while the band works. Of course that number is probably just as accurate as what they said Phil was making.

goes to show how classy that man is. He's doing a fine fine job, he knows his place and I'm sure he understands how much fans miss Richie Sambora. He's simply doing what he's being paid to do, like a true professional. Thumbs up to Phil, that guy never ceases to surprise me in a good way

Why? It's true. Do you really think he only makes $10k a month for playing lead guitar on a tour grossing the kind of money that this one is? Please. $120k per year isn't even upper class in the United States.

No, I was never offended by that, because I don't care. It doesn't affect me. I don't care for the band much anymore. So why would I take it personally?

It was the way he said it. He could have worded it differently.

wrponall 08-23-2013 02:15 PM

I think his tweet was fine. The article was offensive to Phil X when it indicated he was making $10,000 a month for touring with Bon Jovi. Based on his previous work and his performance on tour, it is obvious that he should and is getting paid more than.

It's a common way of.phrasing that kind of statement in a joking manner. Picture him saying it in a Diva-like way like a super model which is where the phrasing comes from. I believe it was Naomi Campbell that coined the phrase "i don't get out of bed for under $10,000 a day"

I think it is the first bit of honesty we have heard from anyone directly involved in this situation. It is a breath of fresh air in a very stale, stagnant situation.

I don't think it's funny. Maybe this is a cultural difference.

Captain_jovi 08-23-2013 02:45 PM

It wasn't a comment on how he thinks he's worth more. Look at his credit history and think of how much he probably makes to play on some huge albums as a session musician. He'd actually make less money go on tour with the biggest band in the world than to just stay at home so if you're taking it as crass you're probably missing his point.

Rue 08-23-2013 02:49 PM

OMG people, the point of Phil X's tweet was that RumorFX is all bullshit.

Why exactly was it offensive? To me, it seemed offensive to assume that he'd be paid $10k a month in the first place. That is just ridiculous...I mean - while that's good money, I am sure he's aware Bon Jovi gross an average of $2.5m per show. There weren't many others who could have done the same job in such short notice, and being in the industry for so long, he would have met quite a few lawyers by now. All this means that $10k a month is an insult.

danfan 08-23-2013 03:33 PM

I've always respected the band for not airing their dirty laundry in public. That's all well and cool, and I'm sure that's what Jon and Richie are thinking here. Probably feels as though it's nobody's business but the band's. That's where they're wrong. As fans, we are owed at least a YES or NO as to whether Richie will be back, and if that can't be provided, then just say "I really don't know right now."

5 months going and all we've had is stupid ass tweets from Matt and rumors from tabloid websites. Inexcusable.

^^This.

What a sad and now heading to boring state of affairs this has become eh. Go hard or go home I say...sort the sh*t out...move on [the band I'm referring to here] Fate accompli that all bands/artists call it a day but never thought Jovi land would be embroiled in whatever the f*ck this is. A mate posted a few pages back that they were glad to have been there at the start of the band's great journey and grateful for the memories, but alas, feel the magic twixt them and BJ is gone...I too feel the same...I will always love the music they put out from the 80's and 90's...Crush kinda gets included, but post Crush...blah and increasing blah...they have been sorta slowly musically castrating themselves for a while now...which is not a great thing in itself...add this current state of play in...well, just sad state of affairs.

Sissy3 08-23-2013 03:38 PM

Well the stupid ass tweets from Matt will stop....at least for the time being. :)
