have it on good authority that richie has some health problems. Jon and him are on good terms...the same artistic bickering that there always is...but richie isnt in the best place right now.

So Phil X's wife had their little baby boy this morning (from the photo, it looks like Phil X was there)...wonder if he will play the next concert (Oct 25) or not? After Uncasville there is a week's break and then a couple of shows in Canada (Phil X's stomping ground). After Nov 8 there is a month's break before Australia. Do we know if Phil X is continuing to the end of the tour or not?

I hope your source is wrong. But - to me it's kinda obvious he's not in a good place right now - Literally. He's not on tour, he's not making the music solo that he is so capable of, (if he wants to stay close to home) and he's not on my sofa. :p

I guess if need be for the already weather rescheduled Conn. show, Bobby will just have to do his Richie impersonation.:rolleyes: Does KOS have another guitarist? Richie is scheduled for a charity event Sat. in LA with his AMOL band. No matter, they won't resch/cancel this one again. Phil, may well fly there tmr. and then back home, especially if his wife stays in the hospital 2 nights which a lot of Mom's do. If she had a C-section (NOT heard) maybe longer. He will have about a week break after that. Most of the time Dad goes back to work since it's Mom who has to physically recover. She will need help of family or some one if possible - but I also suspect that financially he has had his best year ever. Big deal to a new family. There are only 5 gigs in Nov. So he can be home quite a bit then. If you go back or on another thread or somewhere - you may remember the Phil X web page (later found out fan based ran) but it did show him all the way to Dec. 17th.

As of this moment, Phil is scheduled to be with Bon Jovi until the end of the tour in December on Australia....

Heard the same thing. Richie is not well at the moment, things are not good. The band are on his side if he wants them to be.

Phil was there. Jon had offered him the use of the private jet that if labor had started and he was on stage, he could have left at any time to be with his wife. Looks like the little tyke waited until the Chicago show finished and they had a night off.

What are the health problems you heard he has?

Jon and the band don't seem so supportive and on his side. If he's truly ill I would hope they would be, but remember Jon said in press conferences "Richie just didn't show up" in a pissed off manner. And said when Richie is ready to die on stage like Jon is every night he can come back. Doesn't seem to be on Richie's side to me.

It's been almost 7 months. It probably started out as just like that, Richie just didn't show up and things evolved from there.

There is such a thing as tough love with a person who has an addiction problem/ personality. Sometimes you have to just set boundries and when the addict is ready to try you are there to help them but as long as they insist on destroying them selves, you have to leave them on their own. They have to know that they are responsible for their own actions and consequences to their continued bad behavior.

When was the press conference? Things are said, things change. Even Richie has said that things are great. They are not.

IF richie was ill and everyone is getting along. why aren't the band(Jon) using that to gain back respect. They put up a message on social media/website when Tico had op so why not mention Richies illness is the reason he's still not shown.

If he was ill in the true sense I doubt he'd be making public appearances and i'm sure the rest of the band would have been more sensitive, informative and supportive towards the situation.

If he's ill in the sense he's fallen off the wagon then sure - i believe that.

Of course things aren't great. No one needs inside scoop to know that. But you said Richie has health issues and the band is on his side. If you mean he's drinking and/or doing drugs, that's obvious. But Jon has obviously had it with him and this same "personal issue". I'm sure they're on his side in that they wish him the best but they are not on his side being especially supportive like they were previous times. Richie isn't even mentioned at shows anymore, it's like he doesn't exist. Last time Jon dedicated Wanted to Richie at every show while he was in rehab. Not this time.

His middle name is Joshua after a friend of Phils who was killed recently. He has a pic on instagram and said that originally their son was not going to have a middle name but they had decided to give him this one. Was really sweet. But he also said that he would be born this week so I wonder if she had labor induced. Either way, really pretty baby.

You are right, I sincerely hope it is all wrong but I don't trust his current "friends" for lack of a better word. Dependent personality (addicts) often gravitate to their enablers. They can struggle with self responsibility. Recovery is such a precautious time and any little thing can throw it off. You DO eventually draw a line in the sand for Your Own Sanity, no matter how much you love that person. My mother went through rehabs 5X - It's ugly folks. I adore Richie and hope everyday he has it together and that it's something completely non heath, physical or mental related. Just all of it breaks my heart to even think it.

This is a completely different situation then the last time. Richie was open then, he is not now. As Jon has said all along, it's Richie's place to tell.

He's obviously such a nice guy but he's clearly quite ill right there. Very sad to see.

He's doing that dry mouth thing he's been doing for the past few years or so but other than that, what about the video is so off???

He's rambling, his sentences go nowhere, his speech sounds slurred and slowed, his body movements are strange. More than looking drunk, he looks heavily medicated.

I'm sure he's back drinking and doing coke, but there's probably a whole lot of benzos and/or opioids thrown into the mix too. Dry mouth is a really common side effect of opioid and benzo use.

Could be. I've never really seen Richie as a very gifted speaker and being out of your element or uncomfortable can make someone speak without really being sure what it is they want to say. I'm being cautious here and trying not to come to any conclusions since dry mouth is also a common side effect to a lot of medications. The thing about him being ill and such. But as far as I know, he could be drinking and on cocaine every freaking day. But I agree, he does seem Weird....

Oh you are completely right, Richie has never been an eloquent speaker in public, and that was obvious in that video but something looked really off about him. As have most things of late.

Quite obviously none of us have any idea what is actually going on and everything is just speculation.
