Circle July 9th as the day Michael Jackson takes the stage at the O2 Arena and tried to moonwalk back into our hearts.
Here are some of the details that will be revealed at tomorrow’s press conference in London for the Michael Jackson comeback concerts. The press conference, by the way, will begin at 4 p.m. in London and 11 a.m. in New York. It’s open to the public, which should be interesting: the promoters will be able to gauge interest in the shows by how many people show up tomorrow. Jackson will appear at the press conference and actually make a statement, I am told. The whole spectacle is supposed to be webcast on www.michaeljackson.com and www.michaeljacksonlive.com. Jackson’s first shows will be on July 9th and 10th at the O2 Arena. R&B superstar NeYo has already booked July 11th, so Jackson will skip that date. But after that, the rest of July is free on the O2 calendar. The first round of Jackson shows calls for 10—as this column has reported exclusively several times. The next eight shows will be scattered through the month. Sources inside AEG Live assure me that the tickets will be priced within reach. Of course, there will be VIP packages, and all sorts of things that could make individual tickets cost as much as $1,000. But those deals would include private sessions with Bubbles the Chimp, that sort of thing. (Just kidding!) |
any one else watch the lame press conference? cheesey video and he was onstage for all of two minutes.
anyway They will be his last shows (it was unclear to me wether he meant in general, or in London) There'll be 10 shows - beginning July 8th. Go to michaeljacksonlive.com and sign up for pre-sale, begins Wednesday March 11. Tickets go on general sale Friday 13th March at 7am. |
****ing hell, Michael Jackson fans are scary (sorry Mo!). Big, grown men weeping in desparate adulation at Mike's half-formed sentences. Seriously. Like teenage girls at a Beatles concert.
No actual dates and no ticket details though. And an hour and a half late. And bloody Dermot o'Leary hosting. |
NME says £50-£75
|
i think thats pretty reasonable to be honest! i quite fancy it but im gonna have to persuade my dad :p
|
Yeah. Whilst I'm quite tempted at that price, I can't see any of my friends thinking £90 (after fees) to see Michael Jackson is a good investment.

jesus christ the last decent thing he put out was close to 20 years ago.
it's beggars belief that this clown will shift 200k tickets at 60 odd quid but a fool and his money are soon parted i suppose. |
At least its is last shows then hes quittin, he obviously aint doin it for the love of music as so much to clear his debts. The bloke should of been locked up for what he did, all the evidence was there to send him down, but they bottled it cause of who he is. Bet Gary glitter is pissed off.

OK, just got back from The O2.
Firstly, I can confirm that there are 3 Price Ranges; £50, £65 & £75. Obviously, my assumption is that £75 are the best seats. I still believe that a further 20 dates will be announced in the future. My budget is only £500, so I'll just go with the flow and decide which dates I'm gonna attend. I'm not gonna attend all 30. And I won't be attending all 10 either if we only get 10 dates. Where he says "These will be my last shows in London".....take that with a pinch of salt. His spokesperson said in a Press Release a few weeks ago that he's gearing up for a world tour. Again, proof of how MJ's Team are so ****ed up that they continue to contradict a few things. Finally, Michael is a Prick.....he left his hotel at 4pm, and that was when the Press-Conference was meant to start. Meaning I had a more worse experience than 'BJ - Twickers 2008 Night 1' by standing for a total of 6 hours. All other details (inc. Pre-Release tickets) are available at: www.michaeljacksonlive.com |
Aloha !
Cool stuff Mo. There's another rumour going; he'll do a cover of the Elton John song "Don't Let Your Son Go Down On Me". Is that true? Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
