@melly_421 honestly RS is like my brother... Don't mess with my family

Wasn't it just yesterday he was LOLing about his "brother" not dying?

Jon seriously needs to put a muzzle on this asshat.

He should kick out his goddamn brother off the damn tour and sue his ass if he doesn't stop tweeting about it.

Oh gee, thanks Jon for busting your ass for me. I only paid $200 per ticket to see you. Christ, he better be busting his ass!!!!

Wow, how generous to offer refunds. Do you have any idea of the shit storm that would arise if he DIDN'T offer refunds?

They're both punks. They need to man up, realize they have fans that have supported them for 30 years when all others wrote them off, and own up to what the future of Richie's is in the band. According to these tweets, they seem to know, but don't want to share it with the rest of us.

A lot of singers phone it in. I've seen a lot of good ones do it. Jon has been ultra professional. Give him some credit.

They didn't haven't to offer refunds but they have. Yes there would have been noise from die hards but they could have tried to ride it out and pocket a few extra quid.

Accepting this is a personal issue that Richie doesn't want revealed then I don't know how much better jon could realistically have done. He considered all affected parties, has taken steps to please them all despite suffering abuse and loss himself.

I get that you're angry but sometimes shit happens and no ones really at fault.

Yet here you are, defending Jon like a true hero without having those same facts while you're involved in the same cluster**** others are.

And to be honest, you seem to think you can decide for others as to how they experience a Bon Jovi show based upon your experiences, but your posts so far have mostly shown that you've not picked up on any of the details many people mentioned in regards to the differences in quality of Bon Jovi shows.

Now if that works for you that's fine, but I'd say you're missing out on a lot of what goes on, both on stage and off stage. I'm not critisizing those who are going, just like you shouldn't critisize those who don't want to go.

I'm not on twitter, so for the most part the only Matt tweets I've seen are the more negative ones posted in this thread, however, I just checked his twitter site and here are some that give me hope that Richie isn't gone for good:

Matthew Bongiovi ‏@MatthewBongiovi 3 May
@Bongiovi_Bruna don't put one more then the other. The band is magic agreed but one needs to take care of personal things which comes first

Matthew Bongiovi ‏@MatthewBongiovi 3 May
@garethbartlett @irishbucka @bonjovination no the fact is this is ONLY for him to speak of not ANYONE else.

Matthew Bongiovi ‏@MatthewBongiovi 3 May
@NessinhaG @sashawasha_1 believe me. The first ones who were gutted were us. But we will love and support our man and await his return.

Matthew Bongiovi ‏@MatthewBongiovi 3 May
@paoola09 I feel Richie will be back this summer at some point

And a couple regarding continuing the tour:

Matthew Bongiovi ‏@MatthewBongiovi 2 May
@BJBGirl @chrissigoo don't forget sending 100 crew members home and them being unemployed for a year.

Matthew Bongiovi ‏@MatthewBongiovi 2 May
@ChrissiGOO and put 100 crew out of work. People who booked flights and hotels loose their money??? More to it them you think

Im not critisizing anyone for not going, but if they hate the situation then they have the choice now for a refund.

I don't agree in the slightest. If we are accepting that this is a personal problem that has nothing to do with the band then I think Jon has handled it brilliantly aside from his brother tweeting rubbish. When this happened, Jon had to consider:

1. Richie - Jon has taken abuse, nasty rumours, blame and a financial hit to respect his friends privacy.
2. Fans - he is keeping the show on the road and busting his backside in his performances from what I read. He's offering disgruntled fans a refund.
3. Employees - he's keeping the show on the road and them in work.

He hasn't gotten everything right but he's having to react to a developing and shit situation. I salute the guy, he's a leader.

I agree with you. My idea is one is not guilty until proven otherwise. I know we think we have covered pretty much any possible scenario, but the truth is there are endless reasons and possibilities and factors involved in this. We pretty much know nothing about it, and yes, it sucks, but apart from it sucking, I don't see how we can point fingers.

There are a few known facts, and I'll only stick to them if I feel like judging:
- Matt keeps saying how his Twitter profile is a personal one, yet he RARELY posts something that doesn't have to do with the band. Like it or not, he's the PR person of the band. They either hire a new one, or he should accept the fact that, officially or not, that's the role he covers.
- DC tickets for Milan (FC and otherwise) were a ghost until a few days ago. NOBODY seemed to have got them. Suddenly, an email is sent to fan club members announcing a limited amount of DC tickets to go on sale in barely a few hours. They sell out in seconds and literally mere MINUTES afterwards, the announcement is made on BonJovi.com that Richie will be gone for the South African/European leg as well. That is fishy to say the least.
- I'm not sure what to make of it, and I think it's only a matter of avoiding further trash gossip and the like, but every news gets posted on BonJovi.com, Facebook and Twitter. Both announcements regarding Richie's being MIA from the tour haven't been posted on neither Facebook nor Twitter.
