Pink Floyd has done it with most of their albums including releasing demos same with Pearl Jam and few other bands
Most bands don't release demos as most of the diehards already have the bootlegged demos and don't want to release songs that fans already have

Considering it is a demo, sounds pretty good. Clear sound.
