As for Jon, he should just tell Richie "say something soon or I will. This is damaging us all".

Time to call it quits boys. There is still time to wipe that stink of shit off of your legacy. Leave it much longer and you won't have the option.

Very ****ing sad.

This. I wish Jon would stop trying to dance around it and just tell the truth the next time he's asked what's up with Richie.

But then he'd get slammed for telling Richie's "personal" business. I really think it's just a matter of time before Jon spills his guts. Then he'll have to give himself the stink eye.

Guys, it's pretty obvious it's not a personal thing. Can we stop pretending there is some deep mistery or that Richie will come up and say "Guys I was just teaching Ava to drive, I'm back!".

The reason that he continues to take down crazy speculation and not say what it actually is makes it pretty obvious that the reason is actually something that CAN'T be said either because of financial repercussions, contractual obligations or just something that is better not said before it's definitive. That just leaves a fallout between Jon and Richie (for any reason that you'd like to insert here). It can be money, it can be solo songs, it can be not wanting to tour because screw it we've been touring almost non stop.

The only question remaining is: is it a definitive breakup or there is still negotiation possible? If I remember correctly he said he will be back. So either take that answer or not, but let's not expect he says the reason when clearly there are interests at hand that the reason (while pretty obvious) stays hidden. Besides, what different does it make you how many plates were thrown?

Hmm . . . former Presidents sometimes dabble in diplomacy after leaving office. Could President Clinton be worried enough about the impending demise of Bon Jovi to serve as an emissary between the warring factions? He had dinner with JBJ in Stockholm - http://www.expressen.se/noje/bon-jov...ch-wallstrom/#. Who's keeping an eye on Richie's favorite restaurants in California? If the Secret Service shows up, we might be on to something!

(And yes, this post is made with tongue firmly planted in cheek. :p)

Jon said it, Matt said it, Obie (supposedly) said it, David said it, probably even my neighbor pointed towards that direction... but not Richie himself.

Edited to say: Jon said it at the beginning of this drama. Now "he will be back" turned into "I most certainly hope [he will be back]".

He said in his very first tweet way back when this all started (feels like 5 years now!) see you all very soon. How we will see him, is anyone's guess but you are right, he never said I will be back.

It's him on a lot of the album, just dialed way way way way back. It's def him on BWC, the phrasing is definitely his style.

you can hear Richie incredibly clearly. In many songs it's really loud, the speakers I used in my kitchen have one of these buttons which I leave on for most songs as it just makes the sound a lot fuller, but I have to turn it off when listening to What About Now because the backing is just too loud and you can hear it over the main vocal part.

Really? Are you sure? Where?

Removing the lead vocals trick is pretty easy. All you have to do is invert the polarity of one side of the stereo signal and then mix the left and right channels together, add little EQ and that's all. Here is the result. samboraisgodUK was right the backing vocals are pretty loud.

Pre-Chorus (00.58 - 01.03)
Chorus (01.50 - 02.17)
Bridge (02.39 - 02.52)

I'd like to hear your opinion. Is that Richie singing backing vocals on BWC? What do you think ?

Let the conspiracy theories begin!
