IMO that was their peak. Unfortunately I didn't see then until 2000, still great gigs but I don't think anything will top those Maine Road shows.

This video shows that Liam still has the goods. If only Noel and Liam could sort out their shit...

What are the opinions on Be Here Now? I know that the band had pretty much disowned it, and it was underwhelming due to all the hype after (What's the Story) Morning Glory. But I think it's a great album anyway. It's got lots of great tracks, like All Around the World, Stand By Me, Don't Go Away, and D'You Know What I Mean, and Magic Pie. And My Big Mouth is a ****ing massive track, probably in my top 5 by them. Awesome, awesome tune.

Be Here Now is a great album. I still listen to it once in a while and enjoy it.

Definitely Maybe is getting a 3 disc Deluxe Edition makeover in May.

Might be worth picking up.

I had a look at the tracklist, but own all tracks already apart from what's on disc 3, and even those aren't that spectacular. I really think there's just not much in the vault regarding that era, apart from bootleg recordings that are already available. I'm just hoping Knebworth will be released later this year, there's remastered audio and video of Cast No Shadow on Youtube that came out of nowhere.

Salaam Aleikum,

That would be fantastic, and it must be in the works (I hope at least). There's the video of Champagne Supernova with John Squier with remastered audio and video on their channel, too, so they have the material. Just release it. Any Oasis fan wants it.

I thought this would be a good occasion to bump this one.

For those that don't know Liam Gallagher (the lead singer) has launched his solo career and dropped his first single:

Any thoughts?

It's not an instant classic by means, but I personally like it. The chorus is quite catchy and the whole vibe kind of sounds like it could have fit on a Don't Believe The Truth. Much better than the Beady Eye crap.

It's got that mid-90s Summer Indie Anthem sound about it, that's for sure.
