how did the single get on in the charts?

I think the video is really nice and it elevates the song to some extent. I really enjoyed the song while watching the video, and it had become a song I was skipping while listening to the album.

Now, never in million years do I think it should have been a single ahead of Beautiful Drug, Lower the Flag, Blood in the Water, and Brothers in Arms.

I really like the new video. The last time I liked a Bon Jovi promo video this much must have been back in 2005.

The overall atmosphere somewhat reminds me of the promo video for Never Say Goodbye, obviously partly because of all the old childhood photographs.

Even before the release of this video, Story of Love has been a constant grower on me. I think this has got something to do with advancing age. A decade or two earlier, I bet I wouldn’t have been able to properly relate to a song like that.

Along with Luv Can, I think this one is the most beautiful song on the album. And now that Jon has repeatedly said he never wants to write in the vein of You Give Love A Bad Name again, I’m very happy indeed with this new direction.
