I got caught up in the demo fever, so now I'm creating playlists for each album. I thought Fields of Fire was These Days, but upon listening to it last night, I can definitely see it being for Keep The Faith, or possibly even New Jersey, just going by Jon's vocals.

No, it's definitely KTF. It was played on the An Evening With rehearsals.

Yeah, but I think it was recorded with Jon's solo band for a possible inclusion on his third solo album and was just put on the single afterwards.

Are you sure? It sounds like a typical Jovi song riding on their past ballads (ala Thank You For Loving Me). And the backing vocals on the chorus sounds a lot like Richie.

Nope, it's correctly pre-Crush, Jon solo band. The solo is pure Bandiera. Same deal for I Don't Want to Live Forever.

That is not conclusive for me. Mostly because that version of "An Evening" is very different from the studio version, so we would be talking about an alternate version or something similar. I think there are several versions of Studio about Fields of Fire. One was recorded for KTF, the version of "An Evening" seems a Demo. The studio version maybe was recorded later, 1994 I guess. IMO.

Yeah, it most likely was. But it was written for KTF or during that album cycle, that's what I meant.

That's for sure.

Also re-worked on a second version of Lets Make it Baby and Diamond Ring.

Now the latter is interesting. I know those sheets, but never noticed it. Well it took until These Days then for Diamond Ring, 3 albums ;-) Which is strange, since Jon always emphasized that they only take songs from the current "period" for an album...

Yeah, I'm sure that Fields of Fire also has several versions of study. And I still think the studio version that we all know, belongs to 1994.

Does anyone know if the iTunes download is going to have a digital booklet?
