Jon shows one of his letters, and not pleasant. Richie said "Jon puts it difficult to return to the band." Think about it and you will find the truth.

The Edge comment was stupid, whether Jon meant it that way or not. But he got some bad press out of it...so he only hurt himself.

I agree Jon's comment was below the belt and a cheap shot but I'm making it clear what happened.

Rolo you know nothing about why Richie walked, as do I. My annoyance is 100 percent based around what we know, I'm not including the possible things Richie or Jon has said through the tabloids because those are just rumors said by a "Friend". If you can genuinely tell us why Richie walked then by all means we're on your side if the reason is good enough to walk away. Speculation is bull.

I think we can all agree that it was stupid. I don't think there is one person in this thread who said that it was a great thing that Jon said. Whether it was Jon trying hard to prove a point, he failed and now it just made him look bad. I don't think even The Edge would have felt flattered by the reference. He might even think, way to go Jon throwing your guitar player of 30 years under a bus like that.

But is there a need to bring it up in nearly every post? (Not you) we get it, it was stupid, it was shitty but out of this whole saga, that is the one thing that keeps on getting brought up.
