They had it worser back in the heyday and when they couldn't get out of the hotel at all and had to wear disguises wherever they went.

He gets Jon's autograph and Jon gives it to him but then he tries for the second time but Jon is about to give him an autograph but then notices that it's the same man and pushes/shoves him away. They say that Jon sees everything and he is good to recognize the guy. Obviously an autograph hunter.

So Jon is special enough not to be searched when the beeper goes trhough airport security!! The rest of them are taking teh belts and everything off, Jon just flies through!

Damn, I just knew it stood for "no deal." ;) Over the years I've always heard tales of fans staying at the bands hotel, lurking in bars and checking the gym hoping to see the band. Well, the gym is mostly for Jon, since he doesn't hide the fact he works out and jogs. And he shouldn't have to.

No- Jon was the smart one....Nothing to set off alarm,no carry on...nothing. He buzzed right through. The rest of them had carry ons, watches, phones, hat etc....

The red indicator light goes off for everyone, I only hear the actul alarm for Matt and maybe another one or two. Who knows....

I felt that way for the longest time. I finally went to the CD signing at best Buy in NYC (thanks again Deb) and met them all. I guess since it was an official CD signing they were all on their best behavior and were very nice. So I finally got to say what I always wanted to which was "Thank you for your music".

(Did that once in a hotel in Chicago...at around 3 AM. A very upset guest called security who were not amused. In the morning, my shoes were in front of the opposite room :D)

I dare someone to meet the band and tell them they're an awesome nostalgia act.

That would be just asking for the mother of all stink eyes. Unless the other band members snickered and then they would get it first. :D
