According to this:http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000181/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 She isn't filming anything

Sambo-Chris 05-04-2013 12:17 AM

Someone on fb posted that she would have a reply from sparkart.

They wrote: If you purchased the tickets through the backstage fan club, please let us know the order numbers and if you don't want to attend the shows due to Richie's absence. We will forward this request to our ticketing manager for review as we are taking refund requests

Do not know if this is true though since i am still waiting for reply.

OMG this thread is epic!!! I've been keeping it open in a tab in my browser for weeks now, so thanks for keeping me entertained through this mess! :D I especially loved the photoshop work and the various song lyrics. There are some very creative and talented people on this board! :D

This is starting to feel like a soap opera to me...The Rich and the Bongiovi's epsiode 3040598558 and just like a soap you just cannot help but wait for a new episode each day to see how it goes on no matter how crappy it may be. lol

I feel like Richie may have looked into his timeline and seen a bunch of comments from upset fans and gotten a tiny bit pissed off himself...at least that is what his tweet feels like to me. I do think he will be back at some point and we will never know the reason for his absence. I do respect his privacy and I am sad not being able to see him this year in concert though I didn't get ticket in the first place because I am skint as hell lately and just couldn't afford traveling and tickets. I am however very upset with how this has been handled from the Bon Jovi camp and Richie both, I have gotten used to very, very bad PR and fan communications in the 13 years I have been a fan but this is a new all time low for sure. Why they still think they are living in some Sicilian village where everyone lives by the rules of Omertà is seriously beyond me. Come on, this is the (social) media age!

Speaking of the (Bongiovi) Mafia, reading Matt's tweets today and some fan comments wondering if Jon even knows what he's doing I was reminded of this scene and I think that's about what Jon would say if he knew what his little brother has been doing on twitter...he just would be way less calm about it, we could probably hear the screaming all the way over here in Europe. LOL

That last tweet feels a bit like a slap in the face.

I think both Matt and Richie should just shut up.

Captmorgs 05-04-2013 02:52 AM

I'm sort of done with all this speculation. If I had the will power (which I probably don't), I would just check out and show up at Soldier Field on July 12.

GabrielC 05-04-2013 04:02 AM

His tweet sounds like a pissed guy.
"Well, you assholes, I'm stuck here, can't tour, and you all ask if I'm OK? I'm ****ing great, thank you."

I don't know...I didn't read sarcasm into it. I figured the beginning and end of the Tweet was sincere, and the middle was just Richie speaking in that sort of off-the-cuff way he does.

On the other hand, I wouldn't blame him if he was pissed off; some of those Tweets to him were pretty appalling.

I posted this in another thread, but many in this one are probably interested too.

South Africa & Europe Ticket Holders:

Any customer that wishes to refund their ticket to any Bon Jovi show in South Africa or Europe due to the absence of Richie Sambora may do so by returning their ticket to the original point of sale no later than the day before the show.

Well this does not bode well for the Euro tour. It's good for the ticket holders though.

JoviJovi just beat me to it.:)

I'm done with it too. We are not going to know anything more. They are telling us what they want to tell us. If his there, his there, if not, that is the way it is. Richie is not saying sorry, his doing ****ing great. Why then should we (including I) be up in a panic? He loves the band, he loves the fans, it's a private matter.

If for nothing else, at lleast this whole thing has given us this epic thread. And just for this and all the wonderful posts, photoshops, theories, movie posters (The Karate Kid one is classic) I am doing ****ing great!

Neurotica80 05-04-2013 07:34 AM

That tweet from Richie is a joke. Sorry but any sympathy I did have for him, I've lost. It's a kick in the teeth for fans who bought tickets, on the basis they'd be seeing the full band. He's made his living from being in a band that tours the world, if he's fit and healthy I see no good reason why he's pulled out after committing to the shows.

In fact reading his tweet just makes me think, I'm gonna go and have a "****ing great" time, lets hope this doesn't seriously bite you on the arse eh Richie?!

This is good news for all of you in Europe and SA. I'm glad for all of you that don't have to travel to get your refunds, and for those of you that just feel that seeing the band minus Richie just isn't something you want to do.

CKatz 05-04-2013 09:21 AM

I'm fine with not knowing the reason Richie took a break from the tour. I'm sure he has his reasons. I'm glad he's fine. I don't feel like he owes me an explanation. He's entitled to privacy. And now that refunds are offered to those who want them, there is really no reason to complain.

fairtex444 05-04-2013 09:38 AM

I was never interested in why is he absent...I just want to know when he will be returning.

Yvonne 05-04-2013 09:52 AM

My refund is done....... I did change my ticket which is not what I wanted, now I have a full refund from SeeTickets.

RonJovi 05-04-2013 10:14 AM

Fair play to the band on the refunds. PR aside, where their hands may have been tied, I think they've done well here. This has been a shit situation for them too.

For those who feel they are owed an explanation, wind your necks in. Richie has as good as said this isn't a band thing, Bon Jovi has said its not related to the band and the man is entitled to some privacy. You've been offered a refund but you aren't owed anything else.

She's permanent cast member now for Franklin & Bash, which is filming 3rd season at the moment. IMDB doesn't tell you about TV show filming schedules as they are generally ongoing.

Hot in Cleveland also just got renewed for 5th season, so she's going to be doing that......

We're sticking with the gig regardless..... We only get 1 night out every year and this is for my wife's 40th, so even though it's cost £400, we're still going to have a day & night out.
Also have a sneaky suspicion/hope that Richie may return for Hyde Park.

The Rock 05-04-2013 10:59 AM

For anyone who are going to multiple shows. Are you planning to get refunds for all your shows or at least go to one and refund the rest? If I was in the same situation, I would see at least one. Who knows when they will come back again (if they come back) and I will feel like crap not supporting the rest of the guys. Everyone has their feelings and this has nothing to do with being a "real" fan but just seeing the refunds that people want to get, it hard to explain. I understand everyones reasons but at least one show?

Walkerboy 05-04-2013 11:00 AM

Did have to chuckle at Matt's tweet to someone who tweeted with a big F**k you at Richie:

"Someone is uptight. Maybe you need to get laid. lol"

I went to 2 shows and could have refunded my show in Los Angeles for lots of reasons. As much as I wish Richie was there, I'm glad I didn't, I had a great time.

I think that is quite rude. Matt needs to shut up.

that person should tweet back that "you need to get a job that doesn't ride on the coat tails of your brother".

I'm seeing one because there's a holiday attached to it and flights have been paid for. Yes, I can reschedule the flights but to pay an additional 80E when getting back 80E for the ticket is rather pointless.

Would I be able to cancel all of it for free I'd reschedule the entire holiday and possibly go see another act. I don't particularly care for the "who knows when they'll be back" excuse as I've heard pretty much every song I wanted to hear, and they're not getting any better either. I've made peace with that several years ago.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
