Def Leppard for example are doing things so perfect with their social media.

Bon Jovi are a perfect embodiment of Murphy's law : "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time."

No matter what you expect, it will turn to shit, and even shittier.

If the personell choices we are aware of are any indication, there's probably lots of hanger ons to get by and ignore, too. I don't see the band members being interested in spending time on social media promo (which is ironic, since they used to be great at promotional stuff!), but without competent people in your camp, then the label people have little to work with beyond blah.

For 2020 album we knew that the band had shooted the Limitless's video in January and then the single it was released in February.

Till now we don't have any information about any shooting, so i dubt it will come out soon, but who knows we'll see...

Litneg 01-16-2024 10:35 PM

Just saw a picture of Jon with his hair cut (JBJ Soul Kitchen IG)... it's shorter than what he usually wore these times... maybe something is coming soon.

This silence is killing my fan-side, c'mon! it's 40th year anniversary!

bonjovi90 01-16-2024 11:10 PM

So Jon having had an appointment at his hairdresser is now a sign for a possible new album? C'mon!

Genuinely think we are scraping the bottom of the barrel if we are looking at Jon’s hair for clues.

My money is on a short video on the insta page on Sunday saying “Big things are coming”

Followed by 3 months of silence before something actually rises on the horizon

Is this the haircut? It's no secret that they are recording an album so sure, maybe he got a haircut for album pics... But regardless, it's no indication of any type of timeline.

Yes it’s a pic from early 2020 when a new JBJ Soul Kitchen was opened.

Jon and Dorothea are dressed like in the pic in this article.

I think it will come on phases throughout the year. I don't think they will announce everything planned for this year in one go.

rolo_tomachi 01-18-2024 12:19 PM

So we have a countdown.... interesting. I hope it's music and it's not related to merchandise things like monopoly.

Maybe a first single or a song off the new album. (Kinda how Unbroken wasn't the first single but a song to represent something)

Side Note: A new album shouldn't warrant anything 40th related. A new album is just a new album and nothing special. As a matter of fact, they are way overdue for some new music being that this is the longest stretch between albums in the band's history (band/solo).

powernoize 01-18-2024 05:17 PM

Still find it odd they're using the release date of the debut as the band's date of formation, when the band was actually formed on March 14, 1983 lmao. Then again, they released the 20th anniversary box a year later as well. Hopefully the news is box set related.

Jack27 01-18-2024 06:16 PM

My bet would be documentary related

steel_horse75 01-19-2024 10:26 AM

tweet came from Matt and he is full of shit.

Actually that's fine. A band may have formed several years before their first release, but officially, their beginning will be marked by their first album.

It will probably be the documentary, and hopefully the Box Set will be released at the same time or very close to it. The new album could be released later, but who knows.

Let's see what this is about.

Oh yeah, the guy is unreliable.

Jack27 01-19-2024 02:23 PM

He's put T-6 days today - so there's a definite countdown going on.

Call me stupid - but what days the T mean?

The T stands for Time.

Why is Matt counting this down and not the official Bon Jovi pages?
Could this just be a countdown to some kind of Runaways event?

nikos greece 01-19-2024 05:38 PM

i hope we get in 2024 all these things, doc, new album & boxset!!!
Richie would also be welcome

That thought crossed my mind too. Either it’s just the Bon Jovi social media and promotion teams doing a bad job or it’s some sort of Runaway or JBJ Experience thing or it’s something that doesn’t have an official countdown on purpose for whatever reason (surprise release/announcement) and Matt is just doing the countdown as an easter egg for the part of the fandom that follows him on social media.

Didn't we have something similar last year when Matt gave hints and we all thought they'd announce some big stuff? It ended up being Runaway tours that were ultimately canceled as well.

Yeah. A lot of the time Matt isnt....lying so much as people taking his hints and applying it elswhere. Dude is planning SOMETHING, I'm hoping it's 40th anniversary related, or a kick off to the promo.

Matt can be full of shit but he's in the know at least for when new projects are launching.

Our local radio station recognized their first album release 40 years ago with a Facebook post.
Any more questions about the quality of the BJ camp?

Captain_jovi 01-21-2024 07:18 PM

From what I've been seeing, January 21st in 1984 was a Saturday. I know it says the 21st everwhere, is that even accurate? Matt's countdown leads me to think the band doesn't consider today to be the date.

Or maybe it DID come out on a Saturday, I don't know.

EDIT: https://www.facebook.com/BonJovi/pho...4924100337000/

So they posted this on 2018 as Jan 21. Inconsistency or stupidity, we'll see.

Litneg 01-22-2024 01:38 PM

Well... Dave was the only one to post something celebrating the date. Ma man!

The others didn't give a chip

Jack27 01-25-2024 11:18 AM

Matt has posted on X:

Hey All past JBJ exp members. Keep an eye out for an email with first access to a very special place. Lots of exciting things happening.

From a hardcore completest, there's zero need to include Neurotica, Walk Like a Man, Prostitue and Went She Comes unless this ia mix of unreleased AND b-sides and rarities.

My holy grails are Sex Sells, the remainer of Jon's '98 album, One to Say Goodbye. I'd love it if a full version of Rumble in the House exists.

No have several of those myself, but would be nice to have all the b sides in one collection too

I think it all depends on if it's phsyical or digital. If it's physical I want all I can get that I haven't heard but I also understand the reality of what they're trying to accomplish.

bonboy25 05-27-2024 03:37 AM

According to Jezza, the boxset set for 2025. Record company only want to stream it, and not have a physical release.

Honestly, all for this. Will miss the hell out of a well made phsyical product but....they're going to cheap on it and get things wrong. This could also takes away any time limits for the Cds/Vinyl as far as how many songs are included.
