It's Richie's! :D

The Italian Richie FB page posted this message a little bit ago, translated as:

"So this should be a piece of a new song that is part of the new album. We are therefore in the process of recording. And for this song, Richie chose to collaborate with Tommy Lee. Credit: Tommy Lee (reworked by me with video show)."

Maria told the friend who sent me the screenshot that the information came from the guy who also posted this:

(It looks like Ray Parker, Jr. may be involved, too.)

I saw DRN support Jovi at Wembley Arena in 1990 - They had just released their self titled debut album - I bought the album but took it back as I couldnt get into it.

I did like Rainbow Child single though.

That guy is a film producer, and apparently wrapped whatever he was filming yesterday. If the Tommy/Richie thing was for this film rather than an album I'm going to be very disappointed.

Fran Strine was the director for "Hired Gun"; and he just wrapped a documentary about Ray Parker, Jr.'s life story called "Who You Gonna Call".

I read through Strine's Twitter and IG, and one of the shots is of Parker holding a guitar; and one of the messages is something like '@therealsambora and @rayparkerjr killed it'. So my thinking is that Strine may have filmed Ray working with Richie, maybe? Like a 'what else Ray does' or 'what he's doing currently'?

No clue. I'm not trying to raise any false hopes. Just putting things together and connecting dots. Granted, that can lead to wrong assumptions; so I apologize in advance if we find out it's something different and I have to back-pedal. ;)

In any case, it doesn't look like the pictures and clips have anything to do with Tommy Lee's new album, which was the original question. And if it's just a song, written specifically for this documentary (which would seem a little weird to me, but whatever), it still looks like it's new music from Sambora, whether it's for his album or not. So I'm a happy camper. :)

I think Richie was there for the Ray Parker Jr. movie (about his life/documentary) and Parker is also doing an album.

So you're saying there are now three possibilities for what Richie was doing in Tommy Lee's studio? That they could have been working on Tommy Lee's album, or Ray Parker, Jr.'s album, or Richie's album?

And of the three options, you think Richie and Tommy were working on Parker's album, and that's why it was posted by the guy who's filming the documentary about Parker?

(Just asking, btw; not doubting, or trying to put words in your mouth)

I don't know, I guess we'll have to wait.

I know we have to wait and see. :)

But I was asking if I was correct in interpreting what you said to mean that in addition to Richie's and Tommy's albums, we now have to throw Parker's album into the mix as a third possibility.

Whatever it is, they've apparently been at Richie's house, too. At least Parker, Bob Rock, and whoever the guy is to Parker's right. He looks familiar but I'm not coming up with a name. I think I remember seeing him in one of the other pictures, too.

And since Shrine posted this picture originally, I assume he's the one behind the camera.
