Not 100% trust worthy but I will give it a 90% chance of a good shot. Probably they have been working behind the scenes alot now and they know that they need Richie back, ASAP.

Vital info is being missed in this tweet....we know truth, on the same day Rumours have been going saying richie will be back in June. A few weeks ago Matt said no one knows anything and now he knows the truth...

Wouldn't entirely surprise me if he's back for June 6. There are some incredibly high profile dates from then on. Dates that I thought were ambitious even with a fully functioning band.

Having said that this tour really is feeling like a limp to the finish line before a long old hiatus so I don't hold my breath.

It would be pretty disrespectful for Richie to show up a dozen of shows into the tour. At least that is my opinion. If he was too far out to show up for the first shows on the European Tour it's just embarassing if he can play the remaining shows. At least I would be pissed if I saw the shows with Phil X and then Richie decides to show up.

What a crappy attitude. Richie should come back as soon as he can. If that means he's back the day after IOW and I don't see him, I'd be gutted but at least other people here will get something resembling a Bon Jovi gig and I'd be happy for them.

But don't panic. Obie is full of sh*t and it's also the easiest thing in the world to say 'Obie said it,' when in fact it was a fat guy at the merch stand...

I actually wanna see Phil x for at least a show to be honest and think he deserves to see out the tour now to be honest. Much as I love Richie, if the problem is enough to say your missing the whole tour then do that so the problem is hopefully solved long term

Love Phil's attitude and I've enjoyed watching some of the stuff on youtube but would never, for one second pick him to play over Sambora.

I am resigned to the fact Phil is going to be at the IOW but if I had a choice... it's not even a contest.

They should drive the tour.

Richie likes to falsely throw out the "52 countries" stat all the time, every single interview especially when discussing the last tour when in fact they really only played to 30-some countries.

Sure, besides Jon, Richie often said the same thing in recent interviews - "played shows in 52 countries, bla bla bla" - so he does seem fond of the statistics (or is just allowed to say what Jon or the PR guys come up with ;-))...

Whenever Richie talked about the Circle/Greatest Hits tour in interviews, he claimed they went to 52 countries, which isn't true. Richie likes to exaggerate...:rolleyes:

Can I throw a guess in here? Could it be maybe he was just referring to the ever present "they have played 3,000 shows in front of 130 million fans in 52 countries, yadda yadda" slogan and not the actual tour they were on?

Yeah, that's what I would read into it too - never thought he meant the actual or last tour, but generally speaking "we've played to people in 52 countries to date in our career"...
