That was a boldface lie. The personal issues excuse isn't quite on the same level, because an argument between two people IS a personal issue.
Nobody in this band was/is 100% honest with the fans.

All I'm saying is that stating Jon is lying is stretching it, because if he is lying, then everybody else is lying as well. I think no one is lying and they're all just basically dancing around the bush. Richie's been throwing "I love the band"s and "everything's alright"s around as well, and Tico said he thinks it's a personal issue at least twice, that I can remember.
Whatever is going on, it's quite clear that there's some sort of (maybe unspoken, maybe not) agreement to not reveal what the problem is. When it all started, back in April, Richie tweeted that it was just something personal and that he had to take care of some matters in Los Angeles. That could be read as a lie as well, but I don't think playing this game should be our priority. It's obvious all of them just don't wanna spill the beans, and that's what matters and is driving us nuts.

It's funny. The ones telling that "we shouldn't make assumptions" about the new Richie song, are the same ones bashing Jon, assuming that he made or told something unforgivable to Richie.

The best thing for everyone now is to have a laaaaaaaarge (2 years or more) Bon Jovi break. Tico painting, David making some great musicals, Richie playing to be Gianni Versace, Jon playing to be Bruce or Leonard with his Kings of Wisteria Lane... do whatever they want!!

And then release their last and best record and tour around the world for the last time. With Richie. Without Bobby.

I never said Jon said/did something unforgivable to Richie (although it's possible), I said Jon lied to the fans on more than one occasion.

That's wishful thinking...something I've given up on. Their best days are behind them. No amount of time off will change that. Mediocrity is the best we can look forward to. I'm not up for that anymore when there is better music out there that I can waste money on.

For people asking about lyrics to the new FU song  this is what I heard?

What do you want me to say?
I'll tell you anything you wanna know
You wanna know about disappointment
Baby, I haven't watched that show
I been up, I been down
You seen me crawl with my face on the ground
All this pain, this pride
I carry around like a knife in my side

In spite of it all, for all that you see
If I died tomorrow, I'd come back as me
Rewind and press play, I'll burn up the screen
If I died tomorrow, I'd come back as me

Hey, what do you want me to say?
I gave you everything I could give
But everything just wasn't enough
So I just let live and let live
I got lost, I got found
Break my heart but it don't make a sound
Hard times, bad luck
I've had my share but it's turnin' around
Grateful for the burden even before it felt good
So here's my revelation, won't be misunderstood

In spite of it all, I'm comic relief
If I died tomorrow, I'd come back as me
Rewind and press play, I'll burn up the screen
If I died tomorrow, I'd come back as me

(Turn it up, baby)

Grateful for the burden, even before it felt good
So here's my revelation, I won't be misunderstood

In spite of it all, for all that you see
If I died tomorrow, I'd come back as me
Not Elvis or God
Not Frankie, not Dean
If I died tomorrow, I'd come back as me
In spite of it all, for all that you see
If I died tomorrow, I'd come back as me
Not Elvis or God
Not Frankie, not Dean
If I died tomorrow, I'd come back as me

Umm, where exactly are the **** you Jon lyrics anyway? I just read a bunch of stuff about a guy who's been through hard times, but still wouldn't want to be anybody else. Shocking stuff. Not.

Umm, calm down. It was merely a reference to the way the song's release at this particular point in time has been widely read (and it's hard not to read it that way, although the song itself was likely not written as a **** you).

Perhaps I should have used :p instead of

;)

I think some are reading the "Frankie or Dean" line as a snub to Jon, because of Jon having said he and Richie are like Frankie and Dean, and we all know how much Jon loves Frank Sinatra... In this song, Richie's saying, "I don't want to be Dean to your Frankie", basically.

Also, Richie Tweeted that the lyrics were "very timely." A lot of people read that as him indirectly saying, "Listen to the lyrics to understand what is behind me not being on tour right now."

That's the problem - assumptions. I agree though the fact he's said it's timely - is easy to draw this line to that line. People are commending him on twitter for making his statement finally, LMAO.

And after listening to it - surely you can't say the reason he isn't on tour is he hates WAN... it's not better IMO.

Seriously. Thank F it's August and they're on a break.

The timing is also interesting, can't tell me the day after the tour ends that was just a coincidence.

It's interesting how songs can gain new meaning. But when it was originally written in 2010 it wasn't intended that way.
I think the lyrics of the song are quite good. Musically it takes some getting used to, mainly because of the drum machines. He's isnt afraid to take risks that's for sure, but he knew it wasn't good enough to make it on Aftermath.

Kiwi78 07-29-2013 07:32 AM

Ahhh so it was a throw away on Aftermath?
