Please give me the quote where I said that - because I didn't.
I'm with you on that one.

What I said was that the sound they have now pisses me off and that I'm missing the courage and the creativity to reinvent themselves once more.
We Don't Run, A Teadrop To The Sea or Who Would You Die For where somehow different and I would've liked to see them following that direction - which they obviously didn't.
For their chart success it wouldn't make any difference if they released a new Bad Medicine, Limitless or Jon reading the phone book.

We Don't Run's style is almost the exact same style as Knockout and everyone here HATES this song. Limitless comes close too, it's so Shanks in style.

We Don't Run had claw. This one felt nervous, great attitude, the problem is the guitars, the same story of the last years. Jon have to make sure you put the guitars higher in the mix, and use a slightly more aggressive distortion, so it would be a rock song in all its glory.

I really enjoyed the launch of Burning Bridges. Maybe because everything happened by surprise and in a month. Most of the songs on the album breathe in the mix, and to this day, they have a better sound quality than THINFS Album and these four songs from the new album 2020.

We Don't Run and Knockout have the exact same style of production with almost the same amount of guitar in the mix, the difference is we like one more than the other. WDR has more fuzz in the bass (which I adore and would love more of) but it's so strange people are clamoring for more of one and less of the other.

The chicken farm from Arkansas
Bought workers PPE
Not before 500 more
Had succumbed to this disease

Good god almighty, that's bad. Terrible.

Bang a drum for the workers! Bang a drum for the farm!

Yeah, I already wrote in another thread that I see Limitless much more as a We Don't Run copy than another IML clone, like some user wrote.
The problem with Knockout and Limitless probably is that it's just a copy of We Don't Run. Taking the same direction doesn't mean copying everything.
And like I said before, I'm not a big fan of We Don't Run either. But I acknowledge that they tried something different, that they tried to freshen up (is that expression correct?) their sound.
But what I've heard so far from 2020 (bar Limitless) it's the same old formula we're getting for 2 decades.

Am I a super tasteless weirdo for actually really liking both Knockout and Limitless? Both songs are on a frequent playlist!!

Not at all. Both songs do grow on you (especially Limitless) and although they can not be put in a classic Bon Jovi category, they are not terrible.

In my opinion, Limitless is the only real main single from the album and I remember this same conversation taking place when the song This House Is Not For Sale was released...

Thank you!! I typically find myself liking or even loving the songs many deem drudge!

Impossible, everyone here HATES this song. I thought I liked it too, until I read that bit. Quite the shame.
