How is this still going on. There were only ever two dates that stood a chance of him coming back for. London and Metlife - even those were a slim hope. Why would S.America dates be the ones he comes back for when he didn't even play their home ground?!
He doesn't want to be apart of this album or tour cycle. He's burnt out with Bon Jovi, he'd spent over a decade relentlessly touring and recording with the band. He patiently waited for the time to record his own record and enjoy some time to do what he needed to do creatively and BANG - Jon called him back. I'd be vexed too. Yes he probably could have stuck it out for the good of the fans but frankly I don't blame him all that much. He's given a cracking service to the band since 2000 and put the band before his desire to do his own thing time and again.
This tour has been the worst in their history, the album arguably the weakest. People need to either embrace Phil X on the tour and the poor album they are supporting out of loyalty to the band or chalk this off and wait a few years to see how it pans out.
I'd be willing to bet in 5 years time they'll be back with this swept under the carpet.
