Review: Cry Wolf

For those wanting to see it or waiting to see it... You won't be dissapointed. I went and saw it tonight and was actually shocked because the movie was a cool thriller. bonjovi.com mentioned that Jon's part was small but crucial and I won't lie that they were right. The movie has so many twists and turns and the end just sorta shocks you... TWICE... Jon's acting wasn't so bad here and I actually thought he was really good. Great thriller. Go and see it, it's a lot of fun. If you have any questions regarding it, go ahead and ask!

Actually... It's really not that bad considering it's a horror film. A few small area's and a few nasty things but that's about it. Mostly clean I say...

Not really a scary film from my standards. There are a few parts here and there that you could consider scary. It's mostly suspense and mystery.

Ok, let me clarify. Is it scary but avoidable - ie. Basic Instinct? Or is it scary and not avoidable/solved - ie. Angel Heart or Signs or perhaps Halloween?

I can handle a psycho killing their lover, but I can't handle the unsolved random draw of the unlucky.

What movie would you compare it to?

It's so much different from everything else that I really can't compare it to any of those. Probably th easiest thing I can compare it to is like Scream or I Know What You Did Last Summer....

imbd says it will be in UK in Jan 06 .... we are the last ones to see it, Some of Europe get it before us, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384286/releaseinfo

UK not going to get in on video probably until the end of the summer ...

There is no real reason for such a delay between US and UK releases. They even got the last Bond films a day or two before us.

I saw it to.
It didn't suck as much as I expected.
And the ending I thought was cool, but a bit boring throughout.

DaveyShoes 01-08-2006 03:19 PM

Will go and see it when it comes out here on the 16th...it can't be too scary though as it only has a (12A) rating...sounds interesting as it was made by novice filmmakers with a really small budget. Jon says its a 1million dollar movie that looks like it cost 15. Empire magazine in England reckon Jon is wearing a wig in it!

Mrs.Sambo 01-17-2006 11:15 AM

and jon looked very intellingently with glasses, what a pity he doesn´t wear it on concert :-DD I think film is really good, not perfect but no shame...

jenn1189 01-20-2006 01:56 AM

Well, I don't need to see this now!! My aunt just told me the ending and what happens!! I won't ruin it for you guys though.

Pentacle Page 02-11-2006 10:25 PM

I just saw this today.. It's a great movie! One of the best Jon has ever done next to The Leading Man and U571. I wouldn't take a 10-year-old though.
Jon indeed has a small but crucial role. Don't worry you'll get to see him quite a few times.
I don't think he really wore a wig in it. More likely his own hair but without having any styling done to it.

yep, I`ve seen this movie. I was actually watching it with my brother (who doesn`t like Jon at all thoug I`m a fan because of my brother :D) by the time he was at home and wanted to see some movie. so we watched this one, he could`t stop joking about Jon :D bro really liked the movie, so did I. though I did like it because I thought it would be much worse O:-) actually, Jon did quite a good job there.... and the ending was pretty surprising :)

cjboog 03-01-2006 04:31 AM

I just saw the movie yesterday for the first time. Jon was great but everyone else was mediocre and the story wan't very believeable. Bon Jovi had a bigger role than I thought he would, definately an important one. Very good performance by him, not a very good movie overall.
