Springsteen!!!

Hey!

I'm only 17 and over the last 6 months or so I've been listening to alot Bruce Springsteen. (My dad's a huge fan so he has all his albums! ) I'm just wonderin' if there's anyone out there who's about my age and are Springsteen fans?

Dave 1986 09-04-2003 12:59 PM

...guess not then.

choclady 09-04-2003 01:03 PM

I'm 20 and love Springsteen :D

Am I qualified?

Same story as me, except I'm 20 and it was my mum that was the fan.

Talk to Joeykid - he's 16 and a big fan.
I think Bruce has gained many younger fans with the last two tours with the E Street Band. My generation loved him because we felt he was talking directly to US. If the message is clear enough and good enough it will speak to more than one generation. I don't know whwere you are located but tickets go on sale next Monday morning Sept 8 for the last concerts of the rising tour at Shea Stadium in New York.

*singing*
Well they blew up the chicken man in Philly last night now they blew up his house too
Down on the boardwalk they're gettin' ready for a fight gonna see what them racket boys can do

Now there's trouble busin' in from outta state and the D.A. can't get no relief
Gonna be a rumble out on the promenade and the gamblin' commission's hangin' on by the skin of its teeth
*stops singing*

yeah yeah im a bruce nut

Good good!

Just so I know I'm not the only one here!

I bought the Bruce Video Anthology 1978 - 2000 DVD last week and was well impressed! He IS the Boss! 8)

You really need Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band: Live in New York City. There are not too many DVDs from Bruce but this is good. The sound is 5.1 Dolby and is fantastic.

I'll have to check this one out! It's a double DVD set, so is it two different concerts?

Kathleen 09-04-2003 11:46 PM

Nope - its actually a compilation of 2 or 3 nights at Madison Square Garden put together to form one whole concert. Part of it was shown on vh1 but the whole concert is here. I was at those concerts and believe me - they kick ass. Bruce gives 3 hour concerts which is why it's so long. If you live in the US - half.com is a great place for cheap DVDs - that's where I got mine.

Well I'm tired of comin' out on the losin' end
So honey last night I met this guy and I'm gonna do a little favor for him
Well I guess everything dies baby that's a fact
But maybe everything that dies someday comes back
Put your hair up nice and set up pretty
and meet me tonight in Atlantic City

GGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR i cant get enough BROOOOOOOOOOOOCE!!!!

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm time to dig out some bruce to watch....ttyl folks

Kathleen 09-05-2003 04:59 PM

So - after you posted this - I had to sit down and watch (and listen) to Atlantic City last night. You really need this DVD. It's as close to being at a Bruce concert as you can be - without actually being there. After watching until midnight - my husband said - we really need to get tickets for Hartford - they are not going to do this again. Nils Lofgren just signed on with Bob Dylan for a tour - so no more E Street Band for awhile.
Just thought I'd pass that on.

Yea The Boss is great... I love "The Rising" it's one of my top 5 albums of all time easily.

Born To Run is a bit old now... but The Rising is awesome.
