New Jersey in a complete whitewash - I like These Days a lot but NJ is in a constant battle with SWW for my favourite album ever. I love every single second of New Jersey with an absolute passion where as These Days is one of my least played Bon Jovi albums.

Can't be arsed to do the whole song for song thing but New Jersey is the better album overall by far. These Days has it's moments most notably Hey God and the title track but also contains some absolute shite like SFTP, DR, ITWIT plus others which escape me as I haven't listened to it in a while. There isn't one song I flick through on New Jersey, sure sometimes I get a bit tired of Bad Medicine but it's still a classic Jovi song. It's their most consistent album by far and the only one which doesn't tail off in the second half. Actually HAND doesn't really tail off either but obviously isn't in the same class as New Jersey.

Something For The Pain is a great song, IMO.
But yeah, New Jersey is Jovi's best album.
There's not a bad song in the bunch..
I mean TD has 5 really great songs(In SFTP, TAALS, TD, Hey God, and STBI), and the rest are good, ut not near New Jersey.

TIED = 12
can't compare the records, though to me TD is the best Jovi record, NJ is also the best.
to me regarding these 2 records it's more a question of what i'm looking in the record. if i'm looking for a rock record then NJ is the best the guys ever did.
if i'm lookin for maturity and GREAT lyrics, TD is better than NJ.
but BOTH have passion, killer power ballads...

the only thing is just TD lacks some FUN hard rock songs, and NJ some (social) soulful songs.
but both are just great.

though i prefer TD when i'm listening to it and i'm not, i can't say that it's a better record than NJ in terms of QUALITY, i think it's more a question of feeling.
but when i'm listening to NJ, i have the same feeling : "NJ is just the best record they've done."
so i can't really compare them.
i can compare more TF and KTF but that's also gonna be a harsh thing to do.

If youd have asked me this 3 years ago TD would have won hands down, but iv realised NJ is probably my fave BJ album. Songs like Living in Sin, I'll be there for you, blood on blood, wild is the wind and my alltime fave Born to be my baby are better than anything on TD barring maybe the title track and this aint a love song.
