Is Novocaine the best song on HAND?

I don't like it. Maybe the lyrics are good, but I don't listen to lyrics, I need the music. If I were doing the HAND poll I would replace some track with "Dirty Little Secret" too. It's da best.

No. It's far behind DLS, I Am, Compluicated, Last Cigarette, ecc but this song is very good but there more better in great HAND album.

For me it is definately the best song on Have A Nice Day. Great lyrics and I really love the 'jumpy' guitar solo.

Nah, Novocaine's a pretty decent song but definitely not the best.

for me it's behind HAND, SOML and LMS.... but it is a very good song :D

Hmmm the lyrics are pretty decent but it is probably my 3rd least face on the album. So no it most definatly isn't. HAND is also my 2nd least fave jovi album as well.

it hurts me so much when people don't like an album that I love.... :(

Used to like hand. Then I realized that it was just filled track after filled track. Rarely listen to it nowadays.

11 votes for "yes" and 19 for "no" till now. I didn't expected so many people agreed "Novocaine" is the best song on the album. I think I should listen to it again...

EDIT: Well... It doesn't move me, but could be listenable when you're in this kinda mood (the same with maybe a half of the album).

I personally think half the people that voted yes are jumping on a band wagon. It may be some of peoples 3rd or 4th fave HAND song, but they're just disgruntled it wasn't there.

No, it isn't for me. It's easily one of the song I like the least on the album. Doesn't mean I don't like it, but there's so much others songs that I love and find better than Novocaine on HAND.

I never liked it. I know there are a lot of people saying it´s one of the best BJ songs of the decade but I simply don´t like it. I suppose it would have sounded better if Jon had sung it in the 80´s.

Still, HAND the album has grown on me during these few years.

Well, I think Jon still sounds good on the albums and the problem is in the arrangement. What's this, man? One, big, over-producted mess. And almost the whole album sounds that way.

Yeah, I know. Funny - I'm always the one defending those who start a thread that has been brought up a million times. I just can't stand polls like this. They do this on backstage. It all leads to a poll like What year did Jon's hair look best?

One thing i do like about this is that it seems to be the 3rd chapter for tommy and gina (after prayer and BTBMB) kinda shows the troubles theyre going through "different kinda me from livin on a prayer", it probably isnt that at all but thats how i see it, but as others have mentioned it doesnt really do it for me musically the chorus grates a lil bit too.

He doesnt say "different kinda me from livin on a prayer"; he says 'different kind of meaning now, to livin on a prayer.'

It looks like Novocaine would have won the HAND album poll if you shall trust these results :cool:
