I've been listening to dozens of old BJ bootlegs lately to help feed my own craving for "new"/unreleased material :) whenever the album comes out, no matter how critical I've been about the two lead singles, I most likely can't help but buy it as well :D

I think we were under the impression Jon was using it to sing other people's stories and "write a song with them" but it was never confirmed their version would make the record. At least that's what I thought he said, that he already written a second verse for it.

I was under the same impression; but that "placeholder" might make sense if he incorporated lyrics from fans. Or maybe he plans to do a second "bonus" version with fan lyrics?

Maybe, yeah! It feels like a nightmare to credit someone without a publisher but I don't know that world well enough to speculate.

I understood the JBJ finished the song (for the record JBJ only), and he's singing back verses that people are submitting only for social media outlets ("we're all writing this together" blablabla).
