Back to 2020 chat, I saw in one of the Q/A sessions on the cruise, Jon said its a heavy album? And specifically mentioned rock too. I understand some of the stuff Jon has written for this is "heavy" as in meaning, lyrics etc. But the fact he kept saying heavy and then said there will be some rock songs, whats your thoughts?

I wasnt a fan at the time, but Bounce and HAND were quite political so I’d be shocked if he never said something along those lines.

No doubt that HAND had him working off his frustration about Bush winning the election, but other than that, he used to tell that it was about his personal mind frame and a record of inclusion. Don't know about Bounce too much, but he wasn't touting around that he was writing as a person addressing the problems of politics, the nation and society as much as he did from The Circle onwards.
