I'd rather have a shorter setlist but with decent songs than a long one with songs I don't care about at all. Well, IBTFY, TD, Saturday and a few good ol' classics and I'm happy.

Lol

But I agree with Eveline; I'm okay with a shorter setlist but I couldn't handle Rollercoaster / Crash

Never say goodbye acoustic last time in Poland? Count me impressed.

Here's to a miracle for everyone going.

In 2013, Jon was always just playing a short snippet of the song.

At least the fans get a good piss break before the band play Cadillac Man, Good Guys Don't Always Wear White and Tokyo Road in a row. ;)

I realise Bon Jovi were really good at changing their set and we maybe got spoiled, and not s lot of bands do change it, but my god...how are the band not bored playing the same stuff every night? Most of it’s not even good either

Yup, will always be my main gripe with the band, how can you have dozens upon dozens of songs in your back catalogue and only play the same ones over and over? Hell, even if it means throwing in some new rarities, like "Labor Of Love" or "Born Again Tomorrow", or finally debut "Walls".

Something, anything!!

I guess they must be, but Jon can’t mix it up anymore. These are the songs he is more trained to sing now, and he’s barely surviving them. When they threw in a song which Jon doesn’t practice very often (I’d die for you), the result was a disaster. The issue is not the high notes, but all the notes. He can’t sing anything anymore.

This tour has dropped off a cliff.
Feel sorry for people who haven’t had their show yet.

IT was absouletly fantastic show!! Setlist for me ok. If it best setlist for Jons voice that's ok for me. Jon was on very high energy and he was very happy! Every fan said It was faboulous show. Jon is killer frontman. I've seen houndreds of concerts and for me he is best. Friend was on Wembley and said that they do 2x better show on warsaw

I don't want to judge until I see footage or reviews etc. Wembley setlist was fairly average but was still an amazing show.

Azirck 07-13-2019 02:29 PM

Hi All,

It was my 2nd BJ concert. The first was in Gdansk(PL) 2013.
This concert was far better than in 2013. Jon was in great mood and the band was also outstanding. We had all fantastic time.

Jon's vocal wasn't great. Can say that it was horrible, but still, one of the best shows I have ever seen. Crowd was amazing and for most of songs we were not able to hear Jon :D

Hi guys, I feel like I need to add my two cents to the discussion ;)

I've been a fan since 1997 but I somehow lost interest around 2012-2013 as I got bored with the "new stuff" and discouraged by the whole Richie leaving the band situation.

I was at the Warsaw show and I had a good time. The band was good, the audience was good, the energy was good.. The vocals were terrible though :( Jon was out of tune 90% of the show, it was as though he could not hear himself at all. He kept adjusting his in-ear monitors at the beginning, like something was wrong with it. But I was not sure whether it was a real problem with the monitors or just a cover up to somehow "explain" the bad singing (that was honestly my thought). I didn't watch any videos from the tour before the show, as I didn't want to get biased/discouraged, so I stood there and couldn't believe my ears. BTBMB was bad, KTF was very bad, even YGLABN was bad.. During "Bad Medicine" something very strange happened, like the whole band got confused with the song, and it was a couple of seconds before it got back to normal.

The setlist was vanilla, but the crowd seemed to enjoy it. Everybody was singing and jumping, even to masterpieces like "Lost Highway" ;) There were also two nice fan actions planned - Polish flag out of colorful pieces of paper lit by mobile phones during Wanted, and a shirt with fan photos which Jon wore during encores.

It was my second Jovi show, first one being Vienna 2011. It was as if those shows were played by two different bands. I'm still a fan of classic Jovi, but I feel some of my enthusiasm has faded away yesterday.

dziubdzia 07-13-2019 10:06 PM

And for the record (the info in the original post seems to be incorrect) - Bon Jovi did not play in Warsaw in 93, Gdansk 2013 was the first show in Poland, unless you count that atrocious playback TV performance in Warsaw around 2000 of course.

Yeah, it's one of the many edits of a user adding unknown setlists to setlist.fm. You really can't trust that website when it comes to Bon Jovi concerts, especially when it comes to the 1993 world tours.

Is it actually certain that they played Istanbul in 1993 or was that a similar rumor?

I actually enjoyed show. Setlist as mentioned somewhere in post above vanilla (LH and WLOL combo sounded good) and Jon is great showman. For me Amen song sucks live (and on record) and should be dropped for good, somehow BOR sounded weak this time.
