if jon didnt choose ritchie
 
as a guitarist when he was setting up his band, would they have been a better band. he should have chosen some one better like slash or clapton lol

Sure it's not Richie who decided to play with Jon ? I think he said something like i want to be your guitarist cause you'll be famous .... something like that. And in fact Alec said to Jon he should listen this man playing ....

I think Richie had a great influence on the direction of Bon Jovi. I can't see them surviving the 80s through to the 90s with Dave Sabo instead of Richie.
