Another reason to......wonder????

Am I the only one here who thinks that ARTB is one of BJ's best in years. I'm so disappointed it's a b-side because that means that we'll never hear it live and in my opinion it's probably the most ideal concert opener they've ever written. It has enough energy, and the right lyrics, to get things started but it wouldn't steal the show completely (although if I get a chance to actually hear it live my night will have been made).

Just thought I'd share.

I agree with you. It's a great song and should have been on the album.

It's funny, after hearing the demos I always think "that would have been great if it they put it on the album"...so I agree with you.

I'm sorry to ask but ARTB on the album? Well it's a good thing we all are entitled to our opinions cause I think that song was plain out bad, and I'm glad that they didn't put that on the album.

ARTB i a great song but so are several of the other demos and the entire album. There has to be limit for how long the album should be.
12 songs isn't much but several of the songs are long and the album could easily have benn too long if more songs were put on it.

I also think that Postcards From The Wasteland and We Can Dance are good enough to be on a Bon Jovi album but that just shows how creative the guys have been this past year.

All in all I think the album contain the songs it should and it is the sort of album you get tired of right away. :)

I wonder if it didn't make the album because of the "Rise Up" part and the consistently annoying comparisons to Bruce Springsteen. With his new album called The Rising, it would just be too easy for the press to take shots at them ripping off Bruce, never mind the fact that the songs were probably written around the same time period. It probably didn't have any real effect on their decisions, but at least that's one less Bruce comparison we'll have to put up with.
