Raise Your Hands and Last Man Standing
 

Is it just or the guitar riffs at the start very similar to each other?

It is just.

Both involve a ringing root note, with Last Man Standing it's an E. Raise your Hands is an A. Other then that I don't they are alike at all.

Don't see any similarity either...
