On These Days Jon throws some optimism, but everything sounds with the grunge filter of the time, I see bits of Alice in Chains, riff that reminds of Soundgarden and powerful and raw lyrics like some Pearl Jam songs. This was not done by Jovi before. They sound is more raw, Jon sings angrily and desperate Hey God. come on guys.

This is not bad. I don't know why people accept that If I Was Your Mother sounds like Metallica's Black Album, but they don't accept that songs like Hey God, These Days, My Guitar ... are not influenced by the grunge and alternative rock of those years. . .

Listen the begining of What The Hell Was I by Alice in Chains and the begining of something for the pain.

Something For The Pain always reminds me of Soul Asylum's String of Pearls, sonically that is.

Announcing the vaults are open and then supplying some newly recorded Christmas songs is somewhat contradictory in my opinion...

We'll see....I'm not one to take Jon at his word....let's see him prove the vaults are actually open....

Agreed. It was clear the whole thing was behind shilling merch if they can't sell tickets and music was the afterthought hence the whole "You asked so we're doing it" campaign. Him name dropping an outtake and there's 11 more is a bit reassuring, let's see how far spread apart they are too. 1 a month for $80 isn't....great but it's okay. $200 though? Eff that.

That's the thing, he says the vaults are open, but what are we going to get out of it? 1 song, maybe 4? 12? 20? 30? 40? we do not know.

It also says; "Then, for you guys, I don't know it would 1 or 3 months later, but we're going with the director's cut with at least 6 different songs on it. All this kind of things are gonna happen all year around."

Ok, so there seems to be no real plan, it's something on the fly, so maybe the fans can push for him to release things from the vaults, or maybe in 3 months Jon will get bored and consider that enough. .. and we will get only a couple of tracks without interest.

This could be something unbelievable, or the biggest hoax Jon ever did. So be careful!

I honestly don't think Jon is looking to scam anyone. WTF.

You wait to see what emerges and if you like what you see, you join up. It's that simple.

Yup. To go into this mad he's not aiming it at the completist who wants unreleased music is a weird move. This ain't for us, we're too small an audience. But if you're cool with $80 a year and getting a few unreleased songs then sure, I'll bite.

Hopefully we get the songs that were recorded but didn't make the 2020 album, and also all those songs from the Sex Sells album, for me that would be more than enough to be inside.

So this performance on The Ellen Show is actually part of the film 'On A Night Like This Bon Jovi 2020'.

I thought it premiered tonight on Sirius and everywhere NEXT Friday.

Also IF it's the same performance from Ellen I really hope it's mixed better. If Phil's guitar is higher in the mix it'll confirm my theory that it was toned down to fit that demographic.
