I like Avantasia, I got into them around their first album, but have not followed for a while. I guess the Scarecrow was the last I really paid any serious attention to, tbh I prefer other bands in that vein.

Avantasia (and Edguy) was a slow burner for me when I initially heard The Scarecrow but eventually grew on me. The 2010 albums were awesome as well and I'm quite looking forward to this one.

I never got in to either bands earlier power metal stuff, I easily prefer the more hard rock direction both bands have taken. That's something I'm sure will make the die hards cringe!:)
