Random but cool.
"Duran Duran's Andy Taylor and other leading musicians will raise money for a cancer charity at a concert next month. He will join Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Andrew Ridgeley of Wham!, David Palmer of ABC, Ella Henderson and guitarist Phil X." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-66962828 |
I'm always glad when charity events are held.

Great interview with Phil. Will edit if anything interesting comes up but he ain't on salary with the band which both....surprises me and does not. Pre-production for the new album was in Jersey, whole band playing/fleshing out the songs in the same room and then off to Nashville to record for a month. |

I guess that playing includes when they are in studio working on a new Album and not just on the road touring?
Are Tico, David, and Hugh on salary? |

I have to imagine Tico and David renegotiated their deals with Jon post-2013. By the end of the BWC tour, it was obvious that Richie's departure did not result in a significant loss in earnings for the band, which meant there was a much larger 'pie' to share for the remaining members, given that Phil X is obviously much much cheaper than Richie was.

Yeah that was great listen. Cant wait for new record. But in the end he said something intresting about his future.....maybe Richie will fill his spot ;)

Jon will go nuts if the next lead guitarist abandons him to spend time with his family
|
Phil is right about one thing, Bon Jovi needs louder guitars in the mix. I hope they get it on the next album.
|
Loved the interview. What he said about the new album made me pretty excited about it. I hope the mix reflects all the work they've put into it.

Meh! I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. It doesn't have any replay value to me but from a songwriting and arranging point of view I can perfectly understand why they would be proud of the album. .... |
