I was literally randomly thinking of Velvet Revolver just before a friend of mine text me about this. Was never a STP fan (although "Plush" is a great song) but I saw VR live in 2005 and 2007.

Too young...

According to TMZ, a band member has been arrested for cocaine possession, and rumors had been flying that Scott was in the midst of a 4-day crack binge. However, Scott's wife, who was traveling with the band until a week ago, says the band had made a "pact" to stay clean, and Scott was only "drinking socially." Blessed are the enablers, for theirs is a river in Egypt...

One of my best friends is a big fan of his. I broke her heart when I told her about it this morning. She immediately suspected an OD given his demons. She's been listening to him all day long and remembering what he meant to her. He did touch people's lives and it's always a shame when someone dies so young, no matter what the cause.
