Bon Jovi 2020 #3 in Australia.
Queen with the live album is #1 and Blackpink #2. https://www.aria.com.au/charts/albums-chart |
Can we edit the first post with all known chart positions so that we get an overview?
I think a Top-5 position nowadays is a success for the band. Like a lot of you already said, albums don't sell anymore and the counting of the streams don't give an adequate picture (what was it: 1.000 streams = 1 album sold or something?). And Bon Jovi aren't cool anymore, don't do too much of promo appearances, the "single releases" from 2020 are already too long ago and all of them tanked. So I expected worse than the chart positions we know so far. |
The only reason I have Spotify app downloaded on my PC, is to check how many times a song was listened. These numbers are updated daily.
Just in case anyone is interested: From the 6 new songs 5 have about 150 000 - 180 000 listens, but one (Beautiful Drug) has 676 841. Obviously because it was played live and people searched for it. The bonus tracks were only released on Monday. Yesterday Shine and Luv Can had ~20 000 listens, but today Shine is still only at 22 279, but Luv Can is now at 126 175, so that must've been promoted somewhere, though I have no idea where. |

However Luv Can is having more views than Shine. At least down here they were n° 7 an 8 on iTunes one week ago. |
#24 in Finland.

I don't know which country she referred to, but earlier someone tweeted something like: Leave it to Bon Jovi to debut at number 20 with 2020. :)

#3 in Switzerland
On a side note, #3 was peak position for What About Now, This Left Feels Right and Keep The Faith. ;-) |
