How's this for a tattoo?

Been trying to decide for months on a new tattoo. Wanna get something Jovi-related, but not gay, like a heart with a dagger through it. I know some people would never put the name of a band on them, but screw it - Been a die-hard fan for over 20 years now. Can't imagine there's any reason I won't always be one. If nothing else, they've been a big enough part of my life for the better part of it.
Anyways, onto the design. This was the cover of one of the shirts from the 1989 tour. I'm sure some of you will recognize it. I've always loved it. Just gonna leave off the '1989' part on the bottom: |

I'm afraid, and ashamed, to say i have that at the bottom of my back :D And that ^^ is great for a tat dan :) |
Go for it! i've got the bon jovi forever skull n flag design on the bottom of my back. this is a cool design also.

I love this logo from the '89 tour:

otherwise, don't get a Bon Jovi tattoo. One day you'll regret it for sure. The t-shirt is great though, isn't it? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...n/IMGP2843.jpg |
I own it on a tee shirt. It might have been newly created.
Either way its cool IMO. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q...cfb750d511.jpg I agree with you about the Jovi tatoo though. Mine will only say "Wild Is the Wind" not Bon Jovi. |
oh, i just remembered this shirt from the Keep The Faith era with a burning heart slashed by two yellow crosses. no clue if you know it...i can't find a picture of it right now but i am sure you'll find one if you search hard enough. that'd be a good tattoo ...

I have full sleeves and back, some on chest...
There are 6 jovi related things on there. I have a Richie silouette (Stranger booklet), I have a tattoo of a chick's back with the Slippery logo on her back, Dave's joker on my chest, phrase "Keep the Faith" on my wrist, part of the Lyric from My Guitar lies bleeding on my angel wings (which go from neck to knees) and a superman logo, which is like Jon's but I didn't get it cause of Jon though. Ouch... |

Where on your body would you be getting the tattoo? Cool design/idea! :) I've been wanting to get a Bon Jovi related tattoo for some time now, not sure exactly what i'd get though. |

Either that or one of my butt-cheeks. |
Cool, one of my mates has a no entry sign on his arse cheek, quite funny.
I'd probably get mine across the top of my back. |
Get it on your a$$ cheek - that way no one will ever see it, and then someday you'll never have to regret doing it.
Or maybe, instead of "Bon Jovi" put your last name, and where the date is, put your birth state, and that way it will still be Bon Jovi related, but it won't say Bon Jovi. |
I've got two Bon Jovi related tattoos, Superman which I had done ten years ago and a Smirk, which was done this year. I cannot imagine that I will ever regret having them done. Even if / when the band comes to an end, they have been a massive part of my life and I am happy to have something on my body that will forever be a link to the band and their music.

My friend gets shirts from the guys @ www.sleevesclothing.com and then he adds airbrushed names or whatever on them, he's an airbush artist.
Either way, when you wear one of these it gives you an idea of what you would feel like having tattoos. I'm serious, wear one of those shirts and people will look at your arms going "damn!". You need to be very close or touching it to notice they're fake. You can also try wildrosetattooshirts.com I wear them when it's cold cause they keep my arms a bit warmer and sometimes people will say "Wait those are fake!" when they see me adjusting the sleeve or if I don't wear my wristband. But then I take off the shirt and they see that I actually have even more tats than that shirt does and the silence enters the room.... :) |
