I personally don't see any problem in drink alcohol once in a while... but again I don't know about alcoholism etc.

Depends on the type of alcoholic. If it's the type of person that can't have 1 drink without it turning into 10, then they need to stay away from it.

If it's the type of person that drank excessively because of something that happened in their lives, or just went through a stage of being totally excessive, they can certainly recover from that and be able to drink socially. I know someone exactly like this. People will disagree with this, but I guarantee it's from people that have only ever known the above type of alcoholic or have no experience with it at all...

I doubt very much Richie is going to go on holiday with his daughter and get trashed, especially after the recent stuff with Heather. Say what you want about the guy, but he always seemed to be a great dad and she clearly idolizes him.
