Kev 12-20-2009 07:05 PM

Killing In The Name Of - RATM is the best Xmas song ever :D

The best xmas song is 'Driving Home For Christmas' by Chris Rea!!

Ditto what he said! :D

What about Run Run Rudolph by Chuck Berry?

Nah I agree with Carli. It's gotta be Fairtale of New York. I saw The Pogues last Sunday in Manchester and they were awesome.

hometownboy 12-21-2009 01:10 AM

Slade - Merry Christmas Everyone! Easily the best christmas song out there

That's a great song! Especially Keith Richards' cover of it. I did a spontaneous cover of it once at a Christmas party. Nice bit of rock 'n' roll.

The best is probably Farytale Of New York, though.

SamboraQueen21 12-21-2009 04:07 AM

Nothing beats Bruce doing Santa Claus is Coming to Town :)

SamboraQueen21 12-21-2009 04:08 AM

And I must give some honorable mention to Band Aid Do They Know it's Christmas the original one from 1984 not that God awful remake they did a few years ago

hometownboy 12-21-2009 11:56 AM

Haha the band aid 20 version is no way near as bad as kylie and jasons version! That one is shocking!

UKjovi 12-21-2009 12:13 PM

Jona Lewie - Stop The Cavalry

LOVE that song. I was just saying to my mama the other night that I wish Springsteen would do a killer version of that, because he would :D

Why's no one mentioned Please Come Home For Christmas :p or the Jove's cover of Run, Run Rudolph.

Okay, neither of them are the best xmas songs, I guess.

But Kevin "Bloody" Wilson's Xmas song is the definitive best!

Hey Santa claus you c**t!

Where's me ****ing bike?

I've unwrapped all this other junk and there's nothing that I like.

I wrote you a ****ing letter and I come to see you twice

Ya worn out geriatric fart, you forgot me ****ing bike.

If I wanted a pair of bloody thongs, I'd have bloody asked.

And this cowboy suit and ping pong set you can shove right up your arse!

You've stuffed me bloody order up

It's enough to make you spew

And I'm not the only one who's snakey

Me sisters dirty too!

(female voice)
Hey santa clause you c**t!

Where's me ****ing pram?

You promised me you'd bring me one, you remember who I am.

'Cause I'm the little girl who you made sit right on your hand

I'll give you ****ing ho ho ho

You forgot me ****ing pram

(male voice)
Next time I come to see ya, I'm gonna punch you in the guts

And I'll let your ****ing reihndeer go and kick Rudolf in the nuts!

You just wait 'till next year, when you go to that store

And me and me little sister, come stomping through the door

And we'll say, yeah you wait for it

Hey mums and dads you smell his breath and check his bloodshot eyes

And don't listen to him boys and girls 'cause he tells ****ing lies

He's just a piss tank and a pervert, and he's not even very bright

'Cause the old ****ing wanker Forgot me ****ing bike.

You wait you old c**t, I'm gonna dob you in

Tell me old man on you, he's gonna punch your ****ing lights out

"I saw mummy sucking santa clause"

Wasn't it Wizzard that did that song? I could have sworn Slade's Christmas Song was Merry Christmas Everybody...

Personally, I have a soft spot for A Great Big Sled by the Killers. And not just because I want to sit on Brandon Flower's lap ;)

I don't particularly care for censorship and rewriting history generally but I do appreciate why they've done this. In all honesty, it's no different than any other song that needed to be censored for radio.

Here’s the edited version with alternate lyrics;
