September 16th 2017 - Estadio José Amalfitani, Buenos Aires, Argentina thread

So, just a few days until Bon Jovi visits Buenos Aires again. To this one I'll be going so I'm a little excited, getting hard to concentrate for my finals and midterms. This year's opening act will be Airbag, they have some pretty cool songs like Por Mil Noches, Cicatrices, and Cae el Sol so check them out if you can.

Last show was back in September 26 with Nickelback as their opening act. For those who don't remember, last tour there was not only no Richie but also Tico couldn't make it because of an appendicitis and Rich Scanella had to fill-in, so the date had to be moved (not only date but city) and there was a lot of ticket returns.

In that context this was the setlist:

1. That's What the Water Made Me
2. You Give Love a Bad Name
3. You Give Love a Bad Name (restarted)
4. Raise Your Hands
5. Runaway
6. Lost Highway
7. Whole Lot of Leavin'
8. It's My Life
9. Because We Can
10. What About Now
11. We Got It Goin' On
12. Keep the Faith
13. (You Want to) Make a Memory
14. Captain Crash & the Beauty Queen From Mars
15. We Weren't Born to Follow
16. Who Says You Can't Go Home
17. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (With a snippet of Start Me Up)
18. Bad Medicine (With a snippet of Shout)

Encore:
19. In These Arms
20. Born to Be My Baby
21. Wanted Dead or Alive
22. Have a Nice Day
23. Livin' on a Prayer
24. I'll Be There for You (Sign request)

Fun fact: Jon had to stop, again, the show because people were getting smashed in the front row (video). So practically they played You Give Love A Bad Name twice.

About me, I'll be going and my request is This Ain't A Love Song. I need to hear that song live.

Haha...good to see Jon in this mood. He was already without voice, but at least was moving around...:(

And good luck with your request buddy. I don't think it's possible, but who knows. :D

Good luck amigo, your odds are dire.

Shame there's slim to no chance of TAALS, although it's probably a song that Jon could actually pull off to some degree with his current vocals.

As sad as it is to say, he probably couldn't. The song has lots of high B's (same as Always) and, due to the vocals being sustained on a pretty wide range during the song, it would probably be very difficult for Jon to cope with it as his voice is what it is today. A shame, really, as it really sounded awesome in Milan (as did These Days as well - probably for the last time):

I know there's almost no chance of them playing that, but I'll be taking a banner just in case. One man can only dream.

That Milan show was insane. Now those European 2013 setlists sound like a dream.

Is that a catwalk?? What is that about?

Como Yo Nadie Te Ha Amado was a huge hit in Argentina.

Anyone want to take bets whether or not he'll even use it?

If it's used, I'm going to predict it's once. I think he will walk down it one time and immediately return to his safe place behind the mic stand.
