My thoughts exactly. If you want a whammy bar, why not put in something that works?

Thanks, this was great. Back then no one could touch Jon vocal-wise.

I agree - it's too bad that it was such a short period of time.

Versatility must be Phil's middle name! ;)

hey my FB peeps, my friends need your help. if you have kids, nephews, nieces...etc, this is a great project to back. I co-wrote the songs, recorded the guitars (including some slamming solos. haha.) & I am 1 of the characters' voices. kick in some love here... thank you.

A class act all the way through. I think Richie also had some nice words to say about Phil when they asked him but I can't remember them exactly.

Phil has always been very appreciative sounding when ask about BJ - the only interview I remember (may have missed one) where they brought him into the conversation Richie called him "adequate". Think I posted the link on one of these boards back when or someone may have beat me to it, but I know it's on these boards somewhere. Was about the time the "not getting the real thing" PR was about. But - hands down when he was on his A game - Sambora was the best.

Yeah I remember that one. I think he did one after, when he was doing his run of shows in Australia where he called him "an ample guitar player" or something of that. But I can't remember the exact quote...

He was very pro Phil when he left The Circle tour and very anti-being replaced when it was WAN. Is it possible the quote you're thinking of was from 2011?

There was almost a fangirl collision here for me... ALMOST. Phil X joined Band from TV at a fundraiser. Usually Jesse Spencer plays with Band from TV but he's in Africa at the moment.

For those of you unfamiliar Band from TV is a band made of actors who are also musicians who do nothing but charity gigs. (Hugh Laurie, Jesse Spencer, Bob Guiney, Greg Grunberg, James Denton, and Scott Grimes) Jesse plays violin/fiddle primarily, sings a little, and does a few other instruments as needed.
