Wow - October 25, 2013 is the last time I saw this band. I saw Jon in Red Bank in 2014 but that was a different kind of show. Suffice to say it's been a while.

I will be there tomorrow night too - really looking forward to it. Mohegan Sun is a nice place to see a show. Because it's a casino they are strict about curfew. The upside though is that Mohegan Sun only holds 10,000 people. Madison Square Garden holds 20,000 and even bigger MetLife Stadium holds about 60,000 for concerts. So it's one of the smaller places to see this band.

Tonight they are in Philadelphia - after the last 2 concerts of Bruce's last fall I will probably not go to a Philadelphia concert again (unless perhaps Jesus Christ is playing). :p I prefer actually hearing the concert rather than navigating fistfights and screaming matches.

Wasn't the 2011 show the one that got cancelled at first because there was a major blizzard shutting down the whole state? The reason I ask is that I heard there was snow predicted this weekend too.

It sure was Becky. Mohegan Sun was supposed to be the first show of the tour (early in February) but it got cancelled due to snow. October 25th was the makeup date.

Yeah some snow is predicted but it's too late in the season for it to amount to much. I'm not worried about it. (Famous last words LOL)

Section 25 (lowers) row J - I am so short I like sitting up so I can actually see something. These were fanclub tickets and they should be good. Our daughter is coming with us and we are planning on having a great time. :D

That was 2013. It was meant to start the tour but had to be cancelled. The band played a free show instead for those ~ 2000 people who already made it to the casino.

I thought it was 2013, too. I remember hoping it wasn't a bad omen.

Wow... time flies!!! It's hard to believe it's been that long ago. I still vividly remember everyone online wondering what would happen.

Does the show start at 7:30pm or there's some supporting act before?

I'm talking myself into staying up for this... I believe I'm *only* six hours ahead so it's not too crazy :mrgreen:

From what I gather it's support from 7.30pm ish. Not sure what time BJ are on, I'd doubt any later than 8.30pm local

I would join you but playoff hockey is on the horizon and the preds had a big game today that required a lot of alcohol. Also, I already know the set list so... meh

I'm very underwhelmed by the predictable, safe setlists. I want to be surprised. I'd definitively wouldn't pay to see the standard setlist we are getting this tour even though in theory it's miles better than 2013 (or at least I like the majority of the songs). The repetition is overkill and makes me almost don't want to hear the songs again.

Having said that, there's a small chance to get a similar show to Philadelphia's, just a few tweaks, lots of energy and the return of Mr. JBJ frontman extraordinaire. The standard I'd expect from this band is really basic: a balanced setlist with the hits that I don't care about but have to be there, quality semi-regulars, good new songs and one suprise (or a couple...) for the encore. Give me this and I'd come back for more. I don't need a 3hr show with three encores if it means Jon would only lift his eyes from the teleprompter to smile and pose so tomorrow's reviewers can write a generic "this band is going strong after 30+ years with a frontmant whose megawatt smile still makes the crowd swoon".

I want an honest and fun show and it seems that Jon can't do both things at the same time at the moment, long shows with lots of changes and working his ass off to sell the songs. I'd take a good energetic performance of the same tired setlist then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just got here. Very underwhelmed by the merchandise. Management puts absolutely no effort into the shirts or hats. Just as well considering a piece of crap t-shirt is $50. Ridiculous.

Management should go to a Def Leopard show to get some ideas.

I don't know what was going on at the start, but THINFS was all messed up. Not sure if they couldn't hear, but Jon was singing parts out of place, then David started singing out of place. I swear at one point there was some lip sync crap going on.

I'm trying to get into it, but Jon sounds like crap during much of the songs and sorry, but can't stand Everett or whatever the hell his name is. So out of place.

Jon just "called an audible" after Scars and went to LYHOM. I guess no more new songs.

Encore already? I'm tempted to skip this and go to sleep. Clearly nobody has interested in streaming the show
