Remember the kid who got Jon to his cancer fundraiser?

It's that's time of year again:

He's definitely got a future as a political strategist!

Anyone has an update on his condition? I remember reading his cancer is inoperable, but he does look much better than a year ago!

According to the article, he's no longer getting chemotherapy, so I guess his tumors are stable for the time being. But managing his other symptoms and side effects is no doubt equally demanding.

UPDATE: Apparenty Jon persuaded Mario that he wouldn't take offense if he were to be visited by his friend Philadelphia DJ Pierre Robert. And apparently Mario was able to persuade Jon to visit HIS friend Antonio Santos, a 17-year old undergoing treatment for a form of bone cancer -- which sucks particularly since he's an aspiring drummer.

My great grandmother died from bone cancer and I've heard the horrors of it from my mother. I hope and pray for Antonio and anyone else who's got it that they've made drastic advances in treatment since she had it.

ahh that's really nice of Jon actually...

Jon is the man. He likely won't entertain me much as a singer anymore in his upcoming outputs, but it's good to know that at least there's a great guy behind all the great music I've listened to in my life.

I don't know if it's something that has come with age or with a change in my interests but these are the things now that make me admire Jon even if his latest songwriting efforts have not been my cup of tea. He's awesome....

UPDATE: It was one week ago when we went to see Antonio. I prayed my heart out touching him and asking the Lord to heal him. I'll never forget what he said to me. He said that Mario was Amazing & he told me I was an Angel. Now he's in Heaven, pain free, flying high...He was such An Amazing person and is so loved by so many. R.I.P Antonio Santos
