That's because they studio****ed the shit out of his vocals. There's no way he can sing this stuff like he does on that record.

Yes, well he's not a singer - really, they should've just got someone else to do it. Other than the very noticeable auto-tune, he's just ennunciating too much and doesn't have any edge to his voice. I only listened to a couple of the songs - Paradise City sounds so adjusted, it barely even sounds like Tom (or it sounds like Tom trying to mimic Axl).

If you listen to the soundtrack from Rock Star with Mark Wahlberg, they just used people who could actually sing. There was no need to try get the actor to sing any more than a singer trying to act (ahem, Jon!). And, in my opinion, that worked far better. Plus, the music was pretty awesome too (and some of it was from real Steelheart songs).
