Alec was such a character that no one can actually attempt to take over from him, thats why Hugh sits around in the background and does what needs doing, so you have to give that credit. Hugh has been playing witht he band from the early days

I think you're right....

But I'd have much sooner Bon Jovi brought in somebody who would replace Alec, and be part of the band. It's missing something..... I'm going to get bashed for making Purple references again, but after Blackmore left, he was seen as irreplacable, but Steve Mores has played himself into the band, and is as much part of the band as Paicey who was there in '68. Bon Jovi need somebody who will do Alec's part, not just playing the bass.

But yes, I think Huge does suck, he's not right for the band, and just doesn't seem to have a drop of rock and roll in him... No offence to Huge, as he is a better bass player than Alec, but the bass parts were never really hard, and he still seems like a lost boy on stage.

I do agree he does seem like an extra part on stage, but maybe thats what the guys wanted it to look like so the fans wouldnt feel like Alec was replaced, maybe so Alec didnt feel that way either.
