Stranger In This Town
11 yeras after after its release, I consider this album as one the finest record i've ever heard. Even if Bon Jovi, the band, still rules in my heart, I really think there's more soul in this album than in all the BJ discography. It was an attempt to take the skeletons out of the closet... so it was very emotionnal. Richie did an amazing job, his vocals are tremendous and gives me thrills to the bone. His guitar playing is simply sometimes as close as you can get to perfection.
So I say Thank you Richie. to all those who can, just listen to his "the wind cries mary" cover. Jimi Hendrix would be proud! |
That album is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. Once you get over the initial shock of Rest In Peace the album just flows. Great thing is you can listen to it regardless of what mood you're in.

I can only agree.

I think this is one of the most underestimated albums ever made

I agree with what you have all said, especially Mr. Sambo. My ears and eyes must have been bugged out when I first heard "Rest In Peace", because I wasn't quite ready for what I was to hear. All of the songs are great. Truly one of the best in my vast collection. They only thing that disappoints me is when Richie says he "was thrown down from a place artistically" after it did not hit very big here in the USA.
